Has a grooved front
I'm only going to rate this three stars because it's not the same anchor as pictured. It is an ok anchor but they don't tell you anywhere that it has deep grooves all down the front of it. I had wanted this anchor to put letters onto it with my son's Navy ship & Div info but the surface is not flat AT ALL! Which would be ok, if you didn't mind that and it was specified!

This is a nice size and nice detail for the price. It looks great in my nautical themed room.

This is the 2nd one I ordered the first was broken so I m glad this one came together. It doesn t have the grooves the other one did but that s ok. I didn t rate it 5 stars bc I have to add hardware to hang it and for inconvenience from the broken one. It s nice will look great once hung.

5Very pleased, but had one problem when I received it
Lovely item. Very pleased, but had one problem when I received it... the metal hook attached to the top back was very crooked, and hung crookedly on the wall. It was a quick easy fix; take the two small screws off, reposition the hook straight, and screw back into the wood. It makes two new holes on the back of the item, but it's something you can't see when hung. Slightly annoyed to have to fix that, but otherwise, a very nice decor item for a nautical themed room.

I spray painted this and decorated it for my son s PIR (Navy Boot Camp graduation). I was amazed at how well it turned out. He loved it and I got many compliments.
5Got this to match our decor
Came on time and undamaged. I saw many reviews saying that customers received the anchor broken so I was worried about mine arriving the same way. I figured hot glue would fix it if it came broken. However, when my husband opened the box, it was perfect! It is now hanging on the wall above our couch, next to a ship's wheel and my husband's Navy plaque. It looks lovely!

5So Very Disappointed!!!
The anchor came with many white defects on it. It looks like large bird droppings on it -- certainly not as shown in the picture on Amazon. I had to try to blend in some brown over the white because it looked so terrible. For $30, it certainly isn't worth the price! It's very lightweight, too. Save your money and buy something that you can see before purchasing as now I have to weigh the option of returning it and paying shipping costs. So very disappointed!!! If the seller (Bombay Jewel) reads this, I would hope they would consider having me return it at no cost.
1Nice prop
I bought this for a gazebo that I'm decorating in a beach setting. The size is appropriate for the gazebo, but for outdoor use, I wish it were a little heavier. It does have some weight to it, but if it gets too windy outside it will blow right over. The weathered paint and rope adds a nice authenticity to it, though and overall it looks like a more expensive prop than it was. It is a nice touch to my gazebo.
