You just need different adhesive strips
The adhesive strips that come with the product are crap, complete and utter crap. If you think that you are going to get this as use the strips that came with it, you will be greatly disappointed as the frog will fall off the shower wall over and over again. I ended up using some 3M Command Strips that were a similar size to the strips that the product came with and I have yet to have the frog fall since then. The little guy has been hanging on the shower wall for 4 months now.
3Fell off the wall
This is a really great idea - I thought it held a decent amount of toys for my 1 year old and was easy to use while it lasted. However, I followed the directions to the letter for putting the adhesive strips on the wall and it only lasted 14 weeks before it fell off. We don't store heavy toys in there and no one pulls or hangs on it. I'm very disappointed.
2The perfect bath toy scooper (not!)
After picking up the toys by hand over and over again, I decided to invest in a bath toy scoop and purchased this product. I was impressed that it stuck to the tile without fail. I'm also impressed by how many toys it can hold. It's a built large so make sure you have the space. Between this and my toy organizer (Toyganizer Bath Toy Organizer + 2 Bonus Strong Hooked Suction Cups, White), we're all set. My son likes the bath toy scoop so much, he likes to help "catch" the toys when he's done with his bath.Update:After having it fall off the wall three times, I've given up and I'm returning it as defective.
1Update..
I had to change my rating. It's so cute but won't stay up! It's not even full of water or toys. Guess I need to figure out some better adhesives. So disappointing it won't stay up.Update: so I thought it was so cute and didn't want to throw it out so I got the 9lb command strips to attach and it isn't going anywhere! So happy this worked!
2Perfect for Nature Enthusiasts
Our is staying up perfectly fine thus far! We did the command strip directions which are stick to the wall and let fry for 24 hours before you add an weight. So it s doing fine! Glad we got it so it could house our baby s Boon Stackable Boats and Boon Jellyfish that we re taking over our bathroom!
5Wanted to love this
This frog is great for toy storage and my kids really loved it, but the stupid thing will just NOT stay on the wall. Fell off a few time and I just stuck it back up there, but the last straw was when it fell off (full of toys) at 3 am and made such a loud crash it woke the whole house up. Threw it away after that. Really too bad as it's a great idea. Needs better sticky stuff.
3I love the idea/concept of this
I love the idea/concept of this, but it just keeps falling off. I bought our own strips that are suppose to hold up to 4 lbs and it still fell. I tried putting it on different surfaces, still fell. It does have the option to nail/screw it into the wall, but I am not interested in making holes in my wall for this.
1Very handy and fun for the kids
I love this! I used to use the mesh bag for the bath toys and had to wash it every few days because it would just get nasty. This is a perfect solution and it's fun for the kids. They play with it in the bath, then scoop all the toys when they are done. It's like a game for them. This also makes it so easy to rinse the toys. The original glue strips did not work for us though, we have tile that is not even and it kept coming off. My husband used professional glue to secure it so I think it will stay on there until we switch the tiles, which I'm ok with because it's so cute and handy.
5Heed other reviews; doesn t hold up
Most reviews I read had the frog in contact with water and it had issues staying adhered. Heed the reviews! This lasted all but a month in regards to adhesion to the wall. Followed instructions to the tee, placement avoided spray of water from shower head and bath splashing, yet it still didn t hold. If you want it to stay stuck to the wall pick something else. If you just need a cute bath toy scoop then this will work.
2Great way to keep bath toys
Great addition to my bathroom for baby! Has adhesive tape for mounting. Dont purchase if you only have room for it where your baby can reach for it, the scoop doesnt secure tightly enough to ward off inquisitive hands. Must be mounted up high.Update: still using this frog to keep toys up and clean 2 years later. At one point it fell off the wall of our shower because the adhesive had run its course. The company shows that you can purchase replacement adhesive but we just use 3M strips for outdoor use and it worked just fine. That was probably a year ago and it's still up there. I think the 3M tape work better than the tape it came with. Still happy with this purchase!
