Perfect fit!!!!Perfect item to add a 100lb propane tank to an existing pair of on board 30's. A standard crescent wrench is necessary to tighten one side and to attach the 5' or 12' propane hose. No need to disturb your on board propane system. Just add this valve and a propane hose to the valve and your set. No gas Teflon tape need either. 5Works perfectly.I would have given the device 5 stars, but there was a leak in one of the connections, and we had to use a vice to get them apart so we could put yellow tape around the threads. After we did that and connected the pieces back together it has worked perfectly. This is a must-have device if you have a motorhome that you park for long periods of time and don't want to have to disconnect to get more propane. it's very easy to install and use. 4Two fails: check before usingThe first hose I received was missing the rubber gasket, brass nipple, ball bearing (that seals the gas flow), and spring (holding the ball bearing in the closed position until installed) rendering the hose completely useless. After requesting a return (Thank You Amazon!) and receiving the replacement, I tried using the new hose. It seemed to work OK, but the flames on my BBQ were lower than normal. When I went to remove the hose, the nipple assembly was starting to screw out. When I disassembled it using only finger pressure, there were two rubber gaskets which meant: (1) the nipple couldn't be sealed down onto the assembly and so unscrewed when removed (making the next use impossible if not dangerous); (2) the extra thickness kept the ball bearing from being pushed fully open for full gas flow; and (3) without the assembly being correct there was a possibility for eventual leakage around the double gasket (I didn't smell any propane the one time I used the double gasket as delivered). Camco is (apparently) blindly trusting their Chinese factories to maintain their reputation. Check your hose thoroughly before using and during the first use. Then remove and check again. One star because two failed units in sealed packages, and I shouldn't have to make repairs to new items to insure my own safety. 1Not enough gas flow to be useful (OK with replacement)Great idea, but it doesn't work. The package says it is rated for 200,000 BTU, but I am getting barely a fraction of that, through either the main or accessory ports. On a small RV cooktop, with only one burner lit, I am getting barely enough flow to maintain a flame. Same with a small grill hooked to the accessory port - with the valve wide open I am getting a much smaller flame than even the lowest setting without this tee in the line.Someone in another review cautioned against turning the flow on too quickly, as it may trigger a "safety feature". I have made multiple attempts at turning the flow on verrrry slowly, and even disconnecting between attempts to see if that might reset it. I've done all of the standard error checking - the tank is full, and everything works as it should as long as this Tee is not involved.I've written the manufacturer to see if they have any advice. If I get any useful info I'll update this review.----------------Update 1: I received an immediate (next morning) response from the manufacturer (Camco). After checking that I had hooked it up properly he said he thought it must be a defective valve and to return it for a replacement from Amazon. If the replacement has the same problem, then I should contact the rep directly and they would work with me to make sure I had a working solution, even if they had to test and ship one directly. So that is very promising. Upgraded from 1 star to 3 based on this response from their support. If I do end up with a fully working valve, then I will upgrade the rating again. I'll post another update after it has been resolved one way or another.-----------------Update 2: Amazon provided a prompt replacement. I've held off until I could give the replacement a good test, but it seems to do exactly what it is supposed to. I was able to run the cooktop and hot water heater in the RV simultaneously while running a propane griddle from the accessory port. I'd give it 5 stars except for having to replace the first one. 4Convient and a time saver when needing propane refillInstallation was simple, about 30 minutes give or take 10 minutes for finding the right wrenches. The payoff was in not having to use my propane on board, just attached a 5 gal bottle. It not only took care of the heater in the RV, but the BQ also. When it ran low, just disconnected from the Tee and got a refill, no need to disconnect the RV from full hook-ups and drive to a propane station. Highly recommend the Camco 59123 Tee, has all the connections to bottle of propane and for a BQ. 5It seems like others have had this same problemLeaks between the tank fitting and the T. It seems like others have had this same problem. I can't believe Camco doesn't pressure test these before they are packaged. As this adapter is installed before your regulator it is subject to more pressure than most of your system. Be sure you test all your fittings with soap & water! 1A Must for Experienced RV UsersInstalled this on my class A motorhome so that I would not have to use disposable bottles to run my grill.PROS: 1) Good seal on main. I did not smell propane after I installed it. 2) Clean and well machined from brass with rubber o-rings. I am an engineer and very picky about it. Manufacturer did not take to low cost approach. 3) The 12' cord is a good length and can be attached/detached by hand quickly and stowed. 4) Brass cover included.CONS: 1) I recommend reviewing the physical area of installment in your RV. After I have used this device, I am looking for a 90 degree elbow adaptor for better clearance coming out of my basement propane tank. 2) The hose stores significant amount of propane. Make sure there are no sparks/flames when disconnecting hose. 5I should have gotten one a long time ago.Almost half the price of the local World store. This screwed in quickly, easily, tightly and with no leaks. I also purchased the yellow gas line PTFE tape and used it. Soapy water proved the connections were gas tight. Why is it that every camping trip you run out of propane at the worse possible time, place, and when there is no local propane or its Saturday night and stores are closed Sunday? Now, I carry a small 3 gallon tank and worry no more.We like to fish in many back country areas. Places that take a lot of gravel roads and time to get into. I'm not going to worry about closing down my camp and heading to town over propane anymore. This works very well. 5Ok, it works, but might be TOO big :)This hose works well, the ONLY complaint I can think of which is no fault of the seller or the manufacture but my own, is that its too long! I wanted long made sense, but I didn't realize that meant its gonna hold so much gas in it. the last time I unscrewed it (with the tank off of course) it let out so much gas that it actually set off the LP detector in my camper which killed the pilot light in the fridge and I nearly spoiled my food ! :-( So here's the deal, it works very well, but be aware. you'll want to let the grill or what ever its attached to burn up the fuel in the line before disconnecting it. My Coleman road trip grill will run both burners for about 30-45 seconds on full with just the fuel in this line. 4Do you have an older motorhome and need an external propane tank? If so then this is the product for you.I bought this to install in my old 1991 vintage Rockwood Class A Motor Home. I live in this thing full time parked out at a farm. It's been working great since I installed it in November. I use it to allow me to have an external 120 Gallon ASME propane tank next to the MH so the propane company can come and top me off whenever they want and I can have a large amount of propane to get me through a month or two at a time. I still use my 20 gallon internal tank as a backup reserve and I can simply attach a portable grill tank in a real emergency if I ever exhaust that. It's simple to install (with a diagram and instructions on the box) and does exactly what it claims to do flawlessly. It attaches inline between the vapor out of the internal permanently mounted propane tank and your existing regulator and gives you an aux port to plug an external propane tank into and also a utility port to connect an extra appliance to (which I've never used yet). It just screws in with no extra parts needed other than a propane leak detection kit to be sure everything is tight and not leaking. 5
