Finally! Good quality lunch boxes!I ordered these little beauties in 2016 and they have been going strong ever since. Lids still snap, no breaking or warping. I just had to reorder another set, not because anything broke, but because we somehow lost a lid in the hustle and bustle of family life. These are dishwasher safe if you don't have a heater in your dishwasher (we don't). My only ding, and this goes for almost all plasticware, is the edges that trap water in the dishwasher. Otherwise items are easy to clean, durable and fit a good size, healthy lunch with no problems.I pack lunches for two kids every school day, and all through the summer for summer camp. These boxes get used year round. Highly recommend! 4Best lunchboxes for the whole family!I love the easy lunch boxes! I originally bought them for my kids for daycare and for future school lunches and ended up using them for mine and my husbands lunches as well! We used them so much we bought 2 more sets so now we have a total of 4 and all of the colors. They work GREAT!! 5A better lunchbag for this product?I see a lot of complaints on here about leakage and lids not snapping tightly, and I'm confused. We've never had a problem with them, and we've been using them for the last 6 months. I regularly make puddings and pour them directly in one of the compartments while still hot so they set in the container - no leaks. Through the dishwasher many Many times, still going. So I wanted to suggest a good lunchbox for this. My son (11) uses a BUILT neoprene lunchbag, (http://www.amazon.com/BUILT-Neoprene-Spicy-Relish-Lunch/dp/B004SPVZCK) and the EasyLunchbox fits flat and snugly in the bottom, leaving lots of room for a bottle of water and a few other snack items. (IDK if the pictures show it well, but there is still plenty more room for another item or two after his lunch was packed) Maybe having it lay flat has been the reason we've been successful? If you keep an eye on Amazon, these lunchbags fluctuate in price - I've had to replace one because of a hole tore in the side (after at least a year of heavy rotation) and had to wait a month or so until it dropped to $18. Hope this helps! :) 5Wish it would've worked!I was really excited about these lunch boxes for my kid. But I have only had these for 1 day and I had following issues -1. The first time I washed them, the lids cracked. I haven't used them, just light washing before using it and the lid cracked!2. These are too big will not fit in your standard kids lunch bag. 1Once good product gone badI first discovered these bento boxes about three years ago, having only bought two of them. They nested well when stored, and continue to withstand the test of time and an active elementary school student. They were so good that I wanted more to make a weeks worth of lunches at a time. After receiving the new pack, it was immediately apparent that the overall make of these has changed. They changed the design so that they don't nest in the older bento boxes, not do the lids fit the older ones. Although mildly annoyed with that change, I figured that I would just roll with it. However, my son used one of the new bento boxes for the first time today and it returned home with a completely cracked lid. It's sad that this once great product is now reduced to a one-time use box with all the quality of a cheap Ziploc container. 1Love the concept, materials WILL crack/break with use.. so lower your expectations.I love the idea of these and have used them for two years. The plastic in these is sturdier than the munch box (same thing, different brand), which I thought would be a plus but it just made the lids break that much faster because there is no give in the plastic. The lids warped also and don t stay on all the way so I won t be putting them in the dishwasher anymore, though it s too late for this batch, the munch box didn t warp like that.Last year we made it through the school year with a couple munch boxes left that had cracks, but I had cracks in these within the first couple of weeks (from getting the lid off). Also, the tab on the lid for any of these containers breaks off in the first few uses unless your child can be particularly careful I suppose. They are too rigid for their purpose. It seems like a waste to even bother including the tab because the kids are just left with a jagged edge where the tab once was and have to open it without using the tab anyway. A rubber tab that had some capability to bend and stay attached would be much better.Good news is, these are not too expensive and are easier to pack and better for the environment, so I deal with all the flaws and try to make it through the school year with at least one or two left. I reorder at the beginning of the school year and start over, but will be happy if the design is improved so they don t break so fast. We just keep using them cracked because I put them in a lunchbox. 3These are not sturdy containers unfortunately, especially for the priceMy stepmom bought my kids some containers like these a few years ago for their lunches. I do not think they were this brand. They held up extremely well, but were starting to discolor after 3 years of top rack dishwashing. So, bought this 4 pack of easy lunch box containers at the end of July 2019. My boys started using them in mid-August 2019 when they went back to school. They each use one of these every day, then they are put in the top rack dishwasher and also air dried on the counter for a full day after.... before using again the following day. So each of these has been used aprox 10 times in the past month. After only 5 times of use, one of the containers cracked on the corner lid. So I had to cut the whole corner off and file it down to avoid my kids hurting themselves on the sharp edge the broken part left. Then this morning, I got the containers out of the top rack of the dishwasher and one of them had completely cracked all over! I am very disappointed with the horrible quality of these, as I had expected these to last at least the whole school year! This is a reputable brand so at least I would have expected them to have a 3 month return policy. The return window was only one month unfortunately. Beware! Do not buy these unless you want to be replacing them every month when they break!Update Sept 16th 2019...... while making my kids lunches for school this morning, I noticed that one of the other containers has as crack too. Do not buy these! They are of poor quality! 1Quality has gone down.I bought a second set of these after using the first set for almost two years. Unfortunately the second set seems to be of much lower quality. I use these to pack my kids school lunches. We're barely a month in and one container has already become unusable. The rest seem like they aren't far behind. 3Big, Separates Temperature of Contents, Easy to Clean, Sturdy, (Says NOT leakproof in description guys lol)I've only been reusing 1 box out of the 4 for the past 2 weeks, but it really makes packing lunch easy.I wake up around 8am and pack my lunch. I've only eaten rice in the large section and put veggies in the smaller sections, so I don't know how processed snacks would taste later on (i.e. if they're still fresh). I have found that the vegetables I put in stay pretty crisp and the condensation of the main meal (usually rice, meat, and cooked veggies heated in a separate bowl before transferring to bento) does not cross over. Also the heated rice cools down to room temperature/warm after 4 hours of being in my backpack, but it's still pretty tasty. The veggies however, still retain most of their coolness. I would say the dividers and lid do a pretty good job to prevent all the food from equalizing at the same temp. Also, I hand wash the bento everyday, it's one of the easiest things to clean. Even though the bento advertises to be microwaveable, I will never microwave it because plastics + heat is generally not too appetizing in any way.No spillage so far, but I don't really pack wet/soggy food (since the description says they are not leak proof) and I also take an extra precaution to put a rubber band the main section.I keep the container in my backpack and I'm walking around most of the day and i take a total of 40 minutes of bus ride a day, 5x a week which compresses the container against my weight+books+macbook+seat. It has not cracked. The size of it is great! I eat 2 portions from it usually. One during lunch and another before dinner time because I have a night class during dinner until 8. From the picture, you can see that I can surprisingly fit a lot! Some people are complaining this is too small to feed their teenagers/kids!! I fit 2 cups of cooked rice in the main compartment. That's nearly 500g+ of food in this container... 5Great containers for a child's lunch boxThis 3-pack of 3 compartment plastic, bento lunch box containers fits perfectly in my daughter's insulated, fabric lunch box. (see photos) After sitting the closed container in the lunchbox, I slip a thin igloo freeze pack in the pocket opposite the container and everything stays cold and fresh. The plastic is fairly thick and the top seals well to keep foods separated during the trip to school in my daughter's backpack.I've used the same container for the last 3 weeks without issue. (In an attempt to make it last longer, I hand wash the lunch box after each school day.)I would highly recommend these containers. 5
