not as pictured!!!
This marble container was received completely white with no veins of grey anywhere. Does not look anything like picture. Very disappointed I am handicapped and can't get around easily so I guess I am stuck as it is very heavy and expensive to mail back. I think I deserve money back as it looks like the cheaper one. I will not order from this seller again.
1beautiful, but I just can't make it grind effectively
I was excited to receive this beautiful mortar and pestle, but it just doesn't work. Not for anything that's got structure -- not even rosemary or cumin. Should 1/4 tsp cumin take > 2 minutes of grinding? Really? My club-shaped pestle used to be much faster. And because you have to lift up the pestle to see if the items are being ground, we couldn't figure out if it's a matter of technique. I had my son and a friend try it, and none of us was satisfied. I'd packed it up to return, but just missed the return window.
2Perfect size, solid, and attractive on the kitchen counter
This item works well for my home kitchen use. The size is good for my frequent cooking of meals for two. The cellar and its cover are solid and sturdy and help me keep from making a mess of the counter when I'm not using the salt cellar; my previous container would tip over easily if I bumped into it. I like the marble color, which coordinates nicely with my stainless steel appliances and black marble counter tops. I would buy this as a gift if someone I knew need one of these. And if for some reason I need another one, I'll look for this one first as a replacement.
5Beats Wood
I have both the wood and marble salt boxes at my residence in the tropics. The wood has been attacked by termites and tends to keep the salt moist. I switched to this marble box and am very pleased--no termites and no moisture.

It was not anything like I ordered. This picture here is what I wanted, it is pure white with no gray marbling at all. It said would vary in color but did not say there would be no color at all. Very disappointed in color. The item itself is good quality and packaged very well. Still think it should have warned you that there would be no color or marbling at all and would not be what you ordered

the item came in the correct packaging and I was so excited to open it. when I opened it it was the cheapest, flimsiest, clear plastic (not marble literally thin clear plastic) tube i ve ever seen. could have gotten something nicer at a dollar store. returning.
1No marble striping...
No marble design whatsoever, just light gray all over. Received it today, and returning it today as well.
1Some problems.
It came with a considerable crack in it which broke off when I washed it prior to use. I didn t send it back because it had taken so long to get it in the first place. I just repaired it myself. It is a sweet small size & lovely black-grey color which matches my granite countertops. I have put Ibiza salt in it.
3Great looking salt cellar!
I wanted a salt mill that blended in with my black soap stone counter tops and this is perfect match. It's the perfect size for use as a salt cellar. Highly reccommended!
