Legit for Car Audio For around $25, I doubt this can be beat. I'm using it primarily for car audio installs. Thing was beyond easy to use and my crimps came out looking amazing... just like the pics in the description. Use this in conjunction with good quality ferrules and adhesive lined heat shrink, and you've got a 100% legit connection.Do not hesitate to buy this. 5Best ferrule crimper I've used In the industrial electrical construction fired these are literally a must have.I've no idea how many ferrules I crimp in a week or a month- but it's not just a few here and there. the primary advantage of the 6 point crimp versus the four point is that these crimp almost perfectly round. The round crimp fits in terminal blocks a lot better than square crimps do.for those of us who use these regularly we find square crimps tend to hang up inserting into term blocks, leading to loose, ineffective terminations. I've used these on Everything from 22 ga. Up to 10 ga, and not found any sort of a problem. I've owned much more expensive crimpers, and I prefer these.at 25% of the cost of high end crimpers these are definitively a win.in fact, my over priced crimper live in my toolbox now.wish I had found these first. Seriously, if you want a great crimper for the right money you really can't lose with these. 5Great way to tame bare wire ends I'm up to my ears in a boat rewiring project, and I needed a way to bind and protect the ends of wires that don't (or can't) terminate with crimp connectors. These crimps (and the accompanying tool) do just that - they encase the wire strands in an exposed crimp, which can then be secured in terminals that only accept bare wire ends.I didn't even know that this existed! It makes it easy to remove/reinstall the wire ends to terminals without crushing or breaking the strands. Crimps are available for many sizes of wire, and the crimper automatically adjusts to handle them all from 10GA to 23GA (which isn't true AWG, but 24GA wire does fit in them) - I've primarily used it for 14/16GA wire ends.I am very satisfied with the performance of both the crimper and the crimps. The crimper is smaller than I expected, but it is comfortable and secure in my hand, which is a big help when I'm hanging upside down in some dark corner of the boat. The crimps are very secure on the wire when the correct size crimp is used, and the plastic (uncrimped) collar adequately protects the insulation boundary.I would assume that heat-shrink could be added for extra protection/security, but I have not yet found this necessary. Uninsulated crimps (i.e., "collar-less") are also available and can be used with this crimper. 5Affordable crimp that works great I have used a Phoenix Contact crimper and was very impressed with it but I just couldn't convince myself to spend the $175 to buy one. When I saw the Iwiss crimper, I was skeptical that a $25 crimper could work as well an expensive one even though it had good reviews. For $25 I took the chance on it. It works great. I see no difference between the expensive one and the Iwiss. I have recommended it to my coworkers because it has great value. I would give it 6 starts if I could. 5How have I gone so many years without these? For years I've been stripping wires an stuffing them into terminal blocks like it was just the way things were done. Well no more! I bought 2 pair of these, one for myself, one for a co-worker, and man, I wish I'd done it a decade ago. They are solidly built, create a really nice crimp on a ferrule that slides into a terminal block without that one strand hanging up and the end result looks almost like we know what we're doing. 5A good solid crimping tool These crimp very well. I use them mainly on 18awg and 24/28awg ferrules. The tool seems well made. I have a couple issues, they open fairly widely which is a bit uncomfortable (I had big hands too) and the small screw that secures the tension cam was not formed correctly.I would recommend these for use with both cable clamp and screw type terminals. I would also recommend applying a sticker or mark on one side so you pick up the tool in the correct orientation. It can save a lot of time when you're crimping 800 wire ends. 4Lack of quality control It would be a very good product if it had good quality control, the crimper came with a pair of chipped jaws.IWISS Hexagonal Crimper Plier HSC8 6-6 Self-adjusting Crimping Tools Used for 23 - 10 AWG (Similar to 0.25 - 6 mm ) Cable End-sleeves Ferrules-Orange Handle ONLY!! 2A MUST for Car Audio Enthusiast!!! Was able to obtain these during Prime Day and therefore got them at a discount. I've been using ferrules for a year or so when dealing with car audio installation. Specifically for amps connections and battery terminal connections. I've been eyeing these for awhile, but never took the plunge. And well...they are definitely well worth it. Gives it a nice clean look...plus they secured. Just wish they made these for larger gauge ferrules. 5Amazing ferrule crimper! This crimper works really well. I'm using it for some 8 awg speaker wire for car audio, and these make connections secure, and also very neat looking. I'm using these at the subwoofer terminals. No need to have stray strands of wire hanging out, or trimming your wire strands away and making your wire even smaller in gauge. And the price is a fair price, considering the costs of some other wire ferrule crimpers, which get into the triple digits. I'm very happy with this purchase. One more useful tool in the toolbox and worth having. 5Great ferrule crimper for the money. Very good crimper for the money. Very happy. I prefer this 6 side version over the 4 for most applications. This crimper is perfect for the listed wire sizes. For those saying it is too small I can only assume you are either NOT using ferrules (as in trying to use it as a standard wire crimper which will NOT work) or you have insanely large ferrules.Let me be clear - this is for the little ferrules that go on the end of a wire to insure better connections in screw terminals - typically fond in control boxes or panels (and sometimes in breaker boxes when stranded is used)This is a great tool and does exactly what it was designed to do - crimp ferrules - no frills. 5
