Nice pattern but poor quality I was very disappointed with this flatware set. I recently went to a Lenox outlet store to view some other flatware sets that were 18/10 stainless. This set was not as heavy as the other sets even though it was stamped 18/10. Many of the pieces were scratched and it made me wonder if they were seconds. I returned the set for a refund. 2After 5 months of use, Flatware Knives are RUSTING Purchased Product on December 11, 2016 and I received them as a Christmas present. I didn't open until January 2017. It is now July 2017 and more than half the knives are RUSTING. I contacted Lenox and waiting to hear about what they can do. I also registered the product after I received them so I am hoping they can fix this! 1Perfect if you like Rusty silverware Perfect if you like Rusty silverware. After the first wash in a dishwasher, two-thirds of the knives showed rust spots, and inconsistent spots in the finish that could be felt with a fingernail. Called Lenox, they say rusty knives are not a defect! They also stated they would not honor the lifetime warranty when purchased from Amazon, as they could not verify you did not buy them "used!" They were very rude, and extremely unhelpful. Don't purchase from this company. 1Second Set was Perfect - The First was Missing Pieces Hi there folks,This is the second set I received. I really like the silverware, and I would have given it 5 stars, but had to return the first batch because of the way it was packaged, and it was missing about 20 pieces. It was all just loose in the two smaller cardboard boxes inside the main box, and made a lot of racket when I picked it up. I believe they must have sent me a set that had previously been returned. I don't believe they did it out of malice - they were probably just in a hurry and didn't notice the awful racket coming from the box. I put in for a return, which was practically effortless, and they sent me a replacement package really quickly. Today, I received the new set, and what a difference! The package didn't make a bunch of racket when I picked it up, and when I opened the main box, there was a display fork in the little window opening on it, kind of inviting you to open the box, and experience the anticipation of unpacking and organizing, and the shear joy of owning a brand new set of silverware, and that is something that Mrs. County and I have enjoyed together before. She and I once bought a whole bunch of really nice silverware, and were intoxicated with the excitement of having a full set of Grown-up stuff. We opened the box back then in much the same manner I open the present box. Unfortunately, Mrs. County and I are recently separated, and she decided to take it upon herself to liberate the entire collection of silverware from the house while I was gone at work. Well, that's another story. Mrs. County and I have been through it before, and it just breaks my heart. This time I'm sure that Mrs. County will just be a memory in any future reviews on the Amazon. Well, when I opened my new box, there were the two little boxes inside that were neatly packed with each individual utensil in its own separate plastic bag, all meticulously grouped together in each of the types of utensils with rubber bands. The presentation was spot on, unlike the first batch, and that's important. The first batch had no little plastic bags, no rubber bands, was missing a whole bunch of pieces, and like I believe I mentioned before, made an awful racket when I shook the package. The second package was silent, even when I shook it, and that's what someone should expect.I unwrapped each piece and counted them along the way, and sure as shootin', they were all there. It's a nice set. I stuck them all in the dishwasher and fired it up before putting them in the drawer, because you never know who packed those little guys - Like they say on the farm, pick your nose, pick a strawberry. Better wash those strawberries.Well most of the story is happy. The second set of silverware is just the best, and safely lying organized in a tray in a drawer in the kitchen. I'm glad I bought the set, and really do wish I could have clicked on that fifth star, but I guess that's what the fourth star is for. It's the star for when your happy with the product, but the experience could have been better. All said and done, I do recommend this set, and I believe that I will enjoy it for the rest of my time on this planet. Just spotted rust on one knife...even though I handwash, dry and put these away right away...Contacted Amazon CS...These people are AMAZING!!! Truly love shopping Amazon! Thanks Everyone... 5Rust after one wash It looks nice at first but after one wash rust spots started to appear on the knives. Called Lenox customer service and they we're extremely rude. They essentially told me that it's my problem now since rust (even after ONE wash) isn't covered. Would NOT recommend this set to anyone. 1Rust spots after 3 months! Started out well and beautiful when we got them in September. But we noticed in December sometime that there is RUST specifically on the knives around where the blade meets the handle. Almost every single one has it. Not happy! 3Disappointed! All of the knives in this set are ... Disappointed! All of the knives in this set are showing some rust. No problem with the rest of the silverware, so far but still very disappointed in the knives. We've had them less a month. We will be contacting the company. 2Rust, Rust, and more Rust The knives rusted within weeks of use, not sure why all the high ratings, very disappointed as these replaced a set we had for over 10 years without a hint of rust. 1Risky - rusting one month.Thank GOD for AMAZON great customer service! I originally gave good reviews on this item BUT - wait for it.... THE KNIVES WILL RUST SOON.The flatware has begun to show signs of rust spots only after a month. There are only two of us who live here so we have not over used (if that is possible) all the items by any means There is a lot of flatware here! So maybe a few times through the dishwasher for a few of the pieces? Rust spots already. Very surprised. Guess this is why the price is low? I paid 60 bucks. Perhaps they were getting rid of some factory seconds? So I bought again. Same thing. 1
