Customer Reviews

I don't know what to tell you. My headline is 'upset' I don't mind how cheap or poor made for the price. But after all we paid for them it wasNot free. Only misdescription is not right. we wanted the albums that can fit 8" x 10" pictures . No this page set for 6.5" x 10" or 6.7" x 10", we had to trim the pictures off about an 1" or more to fit the page. So disappointed 1Not as expected I'm giving it 3 stars because it is heavy duty and the color is beautiful. It also comes with a ton of pages so it's more than enough to use as a baby book (why I purchased it). However, the pages are a bit small. For example, you can barely fit two 5x7 pictures and you CANT fit a regular piece of copy paper. I wanted to store her hospital birth certificate in there (same size as copy paper) and it was way too big for the book. 3There is really nothing wrong with this album. It's just not for some people. I don't understand the big flap about the page sizes. No you can't use an 8x10 photo in the supplied pages, but protective sheet covers can be used instead. As far as the rivets coming loose? Mine didn't but has anyone heard of Velcro? The album is on $13.00. What does anyone expect? I didn't want to spend the money for a leather bound volume, which was totally unnecessary. I have family heritage photos, newspaper articles, telegrams and civil war keepsakes that I am consolidating into an album to be passed on to the next generation and this album fits the bill. For those interested, the actual pag width is 8-1/8" the length is 10-1/4". The area covered with stickum and cellophane is 7" - 7-1/8" and the entire length is also sticky and covered. I was able to insert a goodly number of sheet protectors with hard antique photos in the album as well. I have just ordered two more. Also, the sheet protectors do extend beyond the album cover when it is closed, however when it's open they are well within the confines. 5Super small I bought 3 and I'll keep them, but they're way smaller than expected. Check out this photo of the packaging- there's no way all those photos would fit. Only 4 regular size polaroids will fit on one page. Pretty much only 2 photos per page, (1) 5x7. And you have to cut up your 8x10. That won't fit 3I really like this book, but with a few caveats I found this to be a nice-looking and sturdy photo album for transferring photos from an old album into. Here are the two things I think buyers should know before they buy:1. As others have stated, the usable portion of the page is smaller than expected. There is a pretty large gap between the binder-facing edge (where the holes are punched) and where the adhesive and covering plastic also stops. This means the number of photos per page is somewhere around 3. For old Polaroids, you will have to do some overlapping if you want them side-by-side since they will not fit without going beyond the area covered by plastic. This means I am using a lot more pages when transferring from an old photo book to this one, which meant I had to order a second album to fit them all.2. This album doesn't really comfortably fit all of the pages it comes with once filled. If you fill all 50 sheets with photos front and back (and only 3 photos per page on average for me), the binder ends up bulging. I don't really like for photo albums to bulge like that and it makes it difficult to flip through since it is over capacity on width, so they really should have used a 3.5" inch binder instead of 2.5".Overall, I would still recommend this product. It's not perfect and if you have very old and/or fragile photos or documents, I would advise seeking out something of a more professional quality. But for family photos, it'll do just fine, and the quality is better than the price would suggest. I'm happy with my purchase. 4Useful size of page is only 6.75" wide x 10.25 high The pages holds only two 3.5" photos each without overlapping because the size of the page that holds the pictures under the plastic is only 6.75" wide. The height of the pages are 10.25" each page can't hold two 4" x 6" photos either. Deceiving description on product page. Very disappointed. I bought 5 of them to consolidated older photo albums but I'm going to look into returning them and getting a refund. 1FIVE STARS...and why For the money, really love this. Would I love a higher quality more? Certainly, but it's like getting a certain type of moderately-priced car and comparing it with a very expensive car. Not really a fair comparison. So, if you are looking for a large, inexpensive, yet nice-looking album, this could serve your purpose.PROS:PRICE! Nice for the Price.Nice grainy faux leather cover with some gold highlightsThree ring binder style you can add pages (but with 50 pages, 100 counting both sides, pretty roomy without paying extra for more)Magnetic-type film cover over pages to hold photosCONS:EVEN with these cons, gave it five stars because of the PRICE.Wish a touch bigger, I CAN get an 8 X 10 photo in if I really push it against the edges, trimming it a touch works better, but MINOR pointFilm covers over pages Not hard to lift up thin film, but to avoid wrinkles you almost have to squeegee it! OK, a bit of an exaggeration, but it is thin and when you fold it over pic, you may have to redo a couple times to get wrinkles outAll said and done, would DEFINITELY get this again at this price! To get a decent album this size for about $13 is a great deal to me. 5Manufacturer defect Love the pattern and color. Much nicer than anything I've found in local stores. However, product is poorly made. I ordered 4 of these. 3 out of the 4 arrived broken. The packaging was fine so it wasn't an Amazon shipping issue. The box was intact and there were plastic air pouches inside to keep product from shifting around in transit. The problem was a manufacturer defect. The 3-ring metal portion that holds the pages is supposed to be attached to the exterior cover in 2 spots - bottom and top. 3 of the albums were only secured on one end. The other end was detached and just flops around when you open the cover. I needed 4 matching albums so I returned all 4 of them. 1I like this photo album because I can put different sizes ... I don't want to spend a lot of money on photo albums because I always have tons of photos that's why I bought this. I like this photo album because I can put different sizes of photos. The pages aren't as thick as expensive albums but they're fine. Unlike other albums, when you lift the plastic overlay of the page, the sticky substance that holds the photos in place does not transfer to the plastic (which could, in turn, stick to the front of your photo, and ruin it). It is not a fancy album but I think it is good. I would buy one again when I order prints of my next batch of digital photos. 4This is my first review on amazon. Do not ... This is my first review on amazon. Do not buy these albums. As another poster previously stated there is a defect!! I ordered two albums and both are not attached correctly to the binder. Please see photos. I ve had these unopened and left in my closet since October and just got around to opening them today. Course I m way past my return window now. Also the pages r too small. Do not order!! 1
