5 stars for longevity
After 6 years of almost daily use and 3 overseas moves, these pans still look and function beautifully. One handle on the dutch oven loosened just a smidge last year, but I was able to tighten it with a screwdriver and it hasn't budged since. This is the most fantastic set of pans I have ever owned.
5The best type cooking pot.
I have used these Maxam KT17 pots for years now, I swear by them as the best way to cook your food. This set ordered was for my adult child, I own two more sets which are in my home. My first introduction & purchase of the waterless/ greaseless technology in cooking pots, the set cost $1,200+ in 1988. These pots work exactly the same as the 1988, set & cost a quarter of the price.
5Everything sticks to the frying pan
I have been wanting this set for the longest time. I am very satisfied with the larger pots for cooking meals and steaming vegetables, etc. They are very easy to clean. The frying pan, however, is next to impossible to clean. I have to soak it for at least 24 hours, and even then I can't get the food off. There must be something wrong with this pan? The eggs I cook in there do taste better than any eggs we've ever made before. But it takes hours of major elbow grease to get the food off the pan! It's a nightmare. Doesn't make it worth using. I'm so disappointed.
2Takes some adjusting, but totally worth it!
GREAT SET! Sat in on a presentation for a much more expensive brand of these types of pots/pans ($3,000 was the super duper sale price for those). There are tons of more expensive versions of these and the Maxam pans seem to work just as well from what I've seen. Follow the directions and then adjust as you learn with these. They ARE different than regular pans and they take some adjusting, but it's SO worth it. If you get spots on your pans (they're not rust), just use some "Bar Keepers Friend" cleaner/polish and they'll shine right up like new.
5Lid knob falls apart, inside metal piece went into the food, dangerous!
While serving soup, three days in a row I found a round metal. It turns out that the lid knob falls apart. Can you imagine if someone swalloed by mistake a 1.5 inch round metal? I have only used those pots for four weeks. This is trully poor quality and dangerous.

Believe it or not, I bought this in 2013 and FINALLY used it now in 2017. And I'll be quite honest, I regret not using them back in 2013. Making pot roast has never been so easy (yea I sound like an infomercial but YouTube "Blue Lake Brand Pot Roast" and you can make everything with no additional oil/water.Also, because of having this, I do more of the cooking now. It should to be I cook maybe once a quarter, now I'm doing it 2-3 a week with this. Reason is that I really don't have to do much. Just add various ingredients, set and walk away. If you follow the instructions properly, I can't imagine how this could get less than 5 stars.
5Not as durable as older sets!
I bought these pots and pans because my son has a set. They have lasted him for years and have held up to kids learning to cook. The ones I received looked and felt just like his BUT one of the handles is loose already. You have to hand wash and dry if you want them spotless. They work well just not as durable as my son's set.
3Defective Nearly killed my husband
I want a full refund for this product or I will be filing a lawsuit it is defective. It is not as it is described, not waterless, it burns everything and on top of that nearly killed my husband last night due to the piece from the top falling into the pot of rice while we were cooking and he nearly choked and died on it
1My Wife and I love cooking with this set
My mom had an Amway waterless cookware set when I was young. I always wanted one but the price was to high. I saw the price on this set and bought it. My Wife and I love cooking with this set. We turn the meat on med. cook both sides of a chicken, toss in vegtables and pour some sauce in. Put flame on low. Come back in half hour to perfect stir fry. Very Very pleased so far.
5They are made from surgical which is almost impossible to get.
Surgical Steel is one of the cleanest methods to cook your food. I love these so much I just got a second set and bought one for my daughter. Love these pots and pans.
