GLASS IS SUPER THIN
The lid and spoon are sturdy and beautiful. But the glass is ridiculously thin. Even though I packed it carefully, it cracked into several pieces when I was transporting it to an event. I would not recommend this product if it is going to be moved around a lot, or if it will be handled by children.

What's not to love about this little Sugar Bowl? It's absolutely adorable, the only thing that I thought was chintzy, was the very very thin glass. It seems for the amount of money they are asking for this product that they could have used a nicer glass bowl. However, that doesn't take away from the cuteness and I wanted it so I paid the price for it.

I was a little concerned about buying this product because of comments regarding thin glass and broken glass. I received my sugar bowl today. It was intact. The packing consisted of bubble wrap around the bowl and it was double boxed. I do not find that the glass is to thin. I love it! I am so happy that I made the purchase.
5the item itself i'm sure would have been beautiful. but mine came very very broken
the item itself i'm sure would have been beautiful. but mine came very very broken, just in a bunch of pieces. and it's not very clear on how i can return a broken item for a refund.. i would really just like a replacement. The other items i got that match like the coffee can and tea holder came perfect however they were packaged differently.
1No seal way to fragile broke coming out of the box
I think this is beautiful but there is no seal on the lid. It broke the minute I took it out of the box. And I am a VERY careful person. The lid slips right off and doesn't seal so it broke right off the bat. :(
1The glass sugar bowl is too thin
The MudPie Glass Sugar Bowl Set looks adorable. It has a sturdy lid and spoon. The lid has an indentation carved so the spoon can fit in. Unfortunately the actual glass sugar bowl is terribly thin and very fragile. Very cute but not worth the price.

This is the cutest Sugar Bowl, it holds more than enough and looks super classy. It was very well Packaged. I will be buying more of this cute Mud Pie products for sure.
5Cute sugar bowl... check lid for crack!
Alas, my lid also came with a crack. I'm just avoiding washing it and I keep the "Mud Pie" tag over it.However, the company I purchased from kept me on a replacement list for about a month but when they never received any more in, they finally refunded my money. I will keep checking back for another one because ultimately, I want one without a crack in the lid. This is a great little sugar bowl!

For the price I thought it might be a snug top fit to better seal contents...sugar hardens easily, with a few days rock solid. But it's nice looking, will use for something other than actual sugar bowl.
3Glass is very cheap and lightweight
I've been looking at this sugar bowl for a while and waited for the price to go down! SO glad I did! This was originally selling for $25.00 and went down to $15.50. I decided to go for it, it arrived today and I am shocked and a little annoyed that MUD PIE made the bowl with such CHEAP glass. It is very easily breakable and lightweight (no thickness or weight to the glass). The glass is thin as those microscope slides in science glasses. On the flip side, the metal parts are beautiful and sturdy, the spoon is cute. I'll probably keep the item since it's more trouble to have to send it back but wanted to write this view immediately so that buyers will be aware that the glass is flimsy. This may not last because if the spoon were to hit the glass just a little too hard accidentally...IT WILL BREAK. DON'T BLAME IT ON MADE IN CHINA! Goods are made by the specifications of the company....hate it when people blame items made in China...since almost EVERYTHING people own in their homes is made in China with specs given to them and okayed by Design Company.
