Meets my needs!
I went with this collar over Amazon's many other choices because I'm a small person and this product comes in X-Small. There's also a choice of neck depths, which few other manufacturers offered. The "sock" covering is a little scratchy but bearable, especially at this price. The unit works as a gentle support. Folks who need their necks almost immobilized will not find this product firm enough.
4Good product with a few qualifications
Like many other people I struggled to get the right size and it took me three rounds. However, it was worth it, I wish I could ve tried it on first but it s not a very expensive item This is a very comfortable collar for daytime use.and it is giving me a considerable pain relief I wouldn t recommend sleeping in it but I don t think that s what it s for. Also great for airplanes - much better than the standard neck rest sold for flying. I do agree that the fabric is itchy. I might ve given it four stars for this but I thought there were a lot of unfair one star reviews. I do hope they find a better cover material

Came without a sock to cover it and others always come with the sock liner. I don't see any difference between my 3inch collar and this supposedly 2.5 collar. Wish I didn't order it.
2Fantastic neck collar
I just had neck surgery and the collar the hospital gave me nearly suffocated me! I tried various collars on at the local drug store, but none felt good. So... I looked around on Amazon and found this collar. After reading the reviews I decided to order it and could hafdy wait for it to be delivered.The collar feels so wonderful on my poor, sore neck. It has plenty of velco to keep it fastened nice and snug. And, it even came with it's own cover to help keep it clean.

This helps me sleep a lot better. I have a lot of neck problems and could never find a better pillow.
5Just What I Needed
Great collar. It is 1-1/2 inches larger than my neck but the end is narrower and I easily tightened it to fit securely and provide support.It also came with a cover so you can remove it and wash it when needed.The best thing about it was PrimeNow. I am injured and unable to drive. The doctor prescribed a collar but didn't stock them.PrimeNow got it to me the same day I ordered it. Love PrimeNow.

1Save your neck muscles!
It's not just for whiplash. The collar actually supports your head which takes the weight off of your neck and shoulders. I learned from a physician these are invaluable for anyone, regardless of age. If you're at the computer a lot, Christmas baking, house cleaning - you will be surprised how much this collar saves you from getting aching muscles in your neck. At night, you can wear it to sleep. It may sound uncomfortable, but flip it around and wear it backwards with the smaller piece in the front and bigger in back. You'll never wake up with a stiff neck again.
5A little too narrow ...
i thought this should be a little wider (higher), and i was right. it seems all the ones i found on amazon were 3 inches instead of the 4 inches that i need. thank god i still have my old one the hospital gave me back in 1997. i soaked it in oxyclean and it came out looking pretty good still. as for this one, it's great for wearing while sleeping but doesn't provide and real support for daytime wear (unless you have a shorter neck than mine). i haven't checked the local medical supplies, but maybe they'll have another 4 inch one when my old one finally does fall apart. when my neck gives me trouble, i literally cannot hold my head up for a few days at a time, so i really need the 4-inch width (at least). where did the 4" collars go?

I have sever arthritis in my neck and was told by my physical therapist not to look up, not to garden and not to vacuum. Well, I do need to vacuum, at lest once in a while. A friend said that she cleans house wearing a cervical collar, so I thought I would try it. And, it works so well that I not only vacuum I have gone back to doing Pilates(another thing I could no longer do). Now my house is cleaner and my stomach is flatter! The collar keeps me from looking up so I no longer get a head ache from looking up, vacuuming etc.
