BOTTOM BROKE OFF, SUGAR EVERYWHERE!!I was absolutely in love with this UNTIL THE BOTTOM FELL OFF!! Sugar flew over my entire kitchen and into every crack. I think I'll never have the mess completely cleaned. A week later and I'm still finding sugar. Why would Oxo make a solid bottom dispenser?!?! 1Love this dispenser for many reasons, wish lid closed a little more completelyThis review is for the glass creamer dispenser.Pros:Perfect size, holds a few days worth of cream, but small enough that it takes up less space than bringing out the whole carton of half-n-halfEasy to hold and pour, easy to open and close with one handLooks much nicer than a cardboard carton, to make your morning coffee experience feel just a little more "well appointed"Glass is nice to see the cream level, the only other comparably sized small creamers I saw are either stainless steel with a flat lid, or open mini pitchers, so you would not be able to store what is not used over a day or so.Lid - as already mentioned, it's a large enough capacity that you might return it to the fridge for a few days before using it up. I would not do that with open pitchers obviously.Cons: This dispenser is basically perfect in every way, except that as I noticed a few others comment, the lid closes extremely loosely. I've only used mine for one day so far, but it's weird how loose the lid is. When I press it closed, it doesn't even fully close all the way, like maybe 1/16" of an inch from being flush. It's OK because with the two silicone ridges it's still essentially closed and it's not like I'm traveling with it or need it to be like a snap n lock liquid and air tight container, but it's a little less than satisfying that it doesn't simply close down all the way. I didn't have to resort to sticking a zip-tie in the edge to get it to close as I saw another reviewer, hopefully it won't loosen up further as the days go by. Re-engineering that lid just a tiny bit to make it close better would be better to get that extra star rating. 4Works as stated. It leaked the first time I tried to use it. Obviously it is not one solid piece. There is a seam between the very bottom piece and the side or top piece, does not move so cannot tighten. It is leaking along that seam. $10 for a piece of plastic that leaks. Not worth the aggravation of returning. I can't get the video here to show how badly it leaks. If I could rate lower than one star, I would. Kind of as useful as a bucket with a hole.I contacted the manufacturer by email to express my displeasure. I did not ask for a replacement or a refund. They sent a replacement anyway. It works as advertised. 4Good solutionI make my own French vanilla creamer. I was storing it in a mason jar which was messy to pour and the rim got gross over time. This is the perfect solution. Rocker style top is easy to open one handed, no drip spout, not to mention it's cute. It holds about one cup. I thought this was glass, but it's heavy duty plastic. That's my fault for not reading more carefully. It's so useful that I don't even mind. 5Nice pitcher, but OXO's "Two silicone seals keep cream or milk fresh" claim is laughableThe reviews posted here seem to be for several different products. I am writing about the creamer with the glass jar. In defense of this product, I must say that it looks very nice and pours extremely well without dribbling. On the other hand, I am very disappointed with the lid, which is marketed as having two silicone seals to keep your cream fresh. The seals are there, but they do not seal anything. The lid will not stay shut. It pops open constantly. Any random food smell from your refrigerator could easily taint your milk or cream. At first I thought it might be because a temperature change was expanding the air in the jar and producing pressure that forced the lid open. However, I removed the lid from the jar, placed it on my counter, and closed it. It had opened itself within a few seconds. Unless my lid is defective, I can only deduce that it was designed poorly.Anyway, I have decided to keep the creamer and hold it closed in my refrigerator by inserting a plastic zip tie under the edge of the lid [see attached photo]. Too bad! Nice try OXO, but no cigar. 3Neither Good nor GripI've been generally happy with Oxo products, but this is a stinker. The silicone seal which is supposed to stay securely closed for freshness doesn't work. After closing gently, and watching it slowly open on its own, I used firmer pressure. That didn't work either. After about an hour, there is a full 1/2" opening. Hardly lends itself to freshness! Then there is the issue of the 'grip' part of Good Grips. This is a smooth glass container. Taking it out of the fridge, condensation quickly makes this a slippery hazard - you'd best put a couple of fingers underneath to be sure you don't drop it.This was returned because the paper carton the cream comes in is better than this engineering failure. 1FELL APART!!I liked this at first-- good size and I liked the spout, not too big or small. Then one day I picked it up and the bottom just fell off! Really weird. I didn't drop it or anything. Don't buy this. There's obviously some manufacturing flaw. I'd give this no stars if I could. 1Lasted less than a week.Received last Friday. Tossed it in the trash today. After one washing the spout cover would not stay closed. So, the "two silicone seals" will NOT "keep cream or milk fresh".First bad OXO product I've ever had, and I've had a lot of them.Bought two of them at once. I'm hoping the second one lasts a bit longer ... 1Bottom of the dispenser will failIn the process of making my morning coffee I gave the dispenser a shake to loosen up the caked up bits of sugar. All of a sudden the bottom dropped out and I ended up with a cup of sugar all over my feet. Oxo was an easy decision for kitchen products- not so much anymore. For a company that prides itself on design this is a huge fail. 1Great dispensers!I love these dispensers!! I've got them at work and at home and people ask me where I bought them all the time. I've read some of the reviews, people complaining that they 'stop working'....I have to laugh, of course the steam from your coffee is going to make powdered cream or sugar clog up. I simply pour into a spoon over my coffee cup, I find this takes care of the dreadful 'steam clogging' issue, lol. The opening to the container is nice and wide which makes it easy to fill. If you find the lid a bit sticky to screw back on, which may happen when sugar gets caught in the grooves, simple spray some Pam or oil onto a paper towel and lightly rub around the threads of the container - problem solved. 5
