Vibrant and SturdyWe recently celebrated my parents 80th Birthdays with a catered buffet. I purchased several Northwest Enterprises plastic products from their assorted colors line. While the products are very sturdy, quite a few were cracked upon arrival. Based on previous reviews which also indicated this problem, I ordered more than I needed as they are very affordable. The colors are very vibrant and definitely added to the festivities. I would not necessarily call these "salad" bowls, as they are rather small. I would, however, purchase from Northwest Enterprises in the future.
4Cute Partyware - worked well for my gatheringI bought the neon serving bowls, 10 oz cups, and small dessert plates and all arrived quickly and intact. Nothing was broken. I hesitated to buy these due to reviews saying some arrived broken and more broke with use, but they were cute and well priced so I took the risk. They worked out fine. I even used the serving bowls for meal prep work - was a little worried about that, but they were handy so I used them. Two of the 4 bowls did develop spider web cracks in the center of the bottom of the bowl, so I just used those as chip bowls. They never actually broke. And nothing broke during the party. I was also concerned that the cups might be too flimsy to hold (based on reviews I read), but they were hardy enough for my guests to write on them with a wine glass marker. Later when washing the cups for re-use, a few of them broke in my hands so I just tossed those. I'm happy with all I got and would recommend them. I love the bright colors - they are really cute and bright partyware.
5Love theseI used the cups for a Glow Crazy party. They really looked amazing with a blacklight! Several of them did crack, but it could be that the kids were hyper and a bit rough. They are nice enough quality that I actually washed them after the party to keep for next time!
5Great Color, Decent Plastic Thickness, Over Half Scratched!I was so excited to find some great looking neon plastic cups! Price wise they weren't terrible ($13.) Then I open the package and they are inside plastic that is twisted shut and when you take the cups out - a good percentage of them (far too many to just ignore) looked like they had been rolled around in a driveway! Scratches, scuffs, bad! This was not caused from shipment, this happened somewhere along the way before that. I did not contact the company, no time for that - I simply returned them through Amazon's easy return policy and I will continue to hunt for something different, as I don't have to deal with the hassle of returning more if they end up the same. 5 Stars for Amazon's return policy, but 2 stars for the cups quality (they do get 2 because the neon colors were great and for a plastic cup decent quality, but totally unusable to drink out of!) Would I buy again? No, not worth the risk and return efforts. Is it worth the gamble once? Maybe they were cute. :)
2Great for partiesNice colors and very durable. Several cups were scuffed and it had a bit of a weird smell when first taken out of the packaging but, it wore off pretty fast. Overall I would buy them again for a party
4Some arrived broken, but loved them in generalThese were purchased for our son s glow-in-the-dark birthday party. The bottom (or top depending on your perspective) 3-4 cups in each stack arrived broken in a box that was packed with air bubbles and other soft items (box was fine). I didn t have time to return/replace before the party so we threw away the broken cups and used the rest. They were great under the black lights!! They really stood out. And otherwise held up as expected for the party.
3Will Crack amd break easilyGreat product for the money, but these cups are a hard plastic that cracks to break easily. Non-reusable.Can wash in dishwasher but these will NOT last long if you have kids. One hard squeeze and these cups are broken into hard plastic shards.
4Blacklight CupsI feel like maybe these cups were slightly overpriced. It is partially my fault for overlooking the 10 oz. size. I guess I assumed 10 oz. cups were slightly larger. The cups glowed in black light very well (as expected). My only valid complaint is that these cups were extremely brittle. Throughout the entire night there were probably easily 20 of the 50 that broke. The cups would crack under the slightest pressure it seemed. I'm glad we had backup cups of a different kind. I don't remember seeing where these cups were listed as "durable", so I guess I shouldn't have assumed they would hold up to being used. They did glow very bright, and I would say for a small drink cup they definitely did their job. Well, 30 of them did..
2Good valueWe needed some non-glass cups that could be safely used around a pool. Technically these are disposable, for parties, but we just wash and re-use them. There are definitely more glamorous and/or sturdy plastic cups out there, but Tupperware and other, fancier plasticware can get expensive if you have to buy enough of it to supply year round groups of kids using your pool. These are washable, they look nice, and if they do get dropped it's not a big deal there's no broken glass, and they are cheap to replace. This is working out to be one of our best buys in years
5Cute But Breakable- Not Ideal For Kids Under 7You get what you pay for with these cups. They are bright, fluorescent pink plastic cups that are "reusable" (I use that term lightly). I purchased these for a LaLaLoopsy themed birthday party with 30 kids attending. Pink was the color of choice for most of the party supplies (I'm sure many parents can relate). So these pink cups seemed perfect. And in many ways they were. Let's begin with the positives.LIGHT-WEIGHT: These cups are very light-weight and perfect for little kids who can't carry around a heavy, large, or oddly shaped glass. These hold a decent amount of liquid, but are light-weight enough that kiddos can easily drink out of them without any problems. We had kids as young as 3 who could easily hold and drink from these glasses at the party.CUTE: Obviously these glasses are adorable. They are bright pink! They have a bit of an opaque hue to them. We served lemonade- which actually made the glasses look orange (pink and yellow make an orange color). But the kids who had water or milk had very bright pink glasses! So that was a lot of fun.WASHABLE: These are washable. I did put them in the dishwasher without any issues- although they're not advertised as being dishwasher safe. They're plastic, smooth, and very easy to clean. They are reusable. With that being said- what are the cons (well- it's only one con, but it was a big one at our party)?BREAKABLE: Ugh- these glasses are NOT durable! If the kids squeezed them to hard (as some children do- especially if they are young), they cracked- sometimes shattered- and the drinks went all over. Because of that I'd have to say these glasses are best for kids over the age of 7, teens, and adults. They'd be great for teen parties and even bachelorette parties as well!Overall- these glasses are great. They're not high quality glasses that you'll be able to use for years and years- but they're decent. They break kind of easily, so I wouldn't recommend them for little kids. But they're cute, light-weight, and functional- so I'd say they'd be great drink-ware for anyone who's old enough to know not to smash their cup in their hand.
