NIce DesignWorks great after about two years. I use it all the time. I clean the base and bottom of tank with vinegar and a toothbrush - about once a week. Must keep the metal generator clean for it to work well. The night-light comes in handy and has a cool purple glow. I run it all the time - 24/7. It runs about eight hours on a tankful. Though it need to be refilled more than a larger one, it is much easier to handle. It easily fits under a bathroom sink faucet - even the top white nozzle pulls off - making it shorter for this purpose.Nice design and well made. To clean inside tank, I push a piece of towel paper inside the fill hole and slosh it around with some soapy water. Then I pull the wet paper towel out with a needle nose or tweezer.
5Nice compact size - fyi doesn't hold enuf for all night operationI had one of these and my daughter put some essential oil in it or "old water" sat in it and the mist smelled terrible. (Don't put anything else but water in it btw, and try to remember to empty out standing water from both parts, so it can dry out.) I thought I re-bought the same size one but ended up with a much larger version. Note: The small compact size model is H920BL. That larger size is perfect for all night 8-10 hour operation, but it takes up too much room on a nightstand (for my tastes). So I ordered (again) and found the smaller size model (H920BL) I prefer, even though the humidified mist won't last all night. I also prefer the smaller model because its cord is detachable and you can more easily fill it up and don't have to mess with a base & attached cord as you do with the larger model. Also to avoid air bubbles stopping the mist, it's best to place the base upside down on top of the (blue) water funnel after filling the blue part, and then turn the whole unit right side up to place on table. When I tried to leave the base in place on the table, fill up the funnel part at sink, then quickly "tilt/ tip" the funnel part onto it, it ended up putting air bubbles into it that stopped the mist and made it not work. So I take the base and funnel part over to the sink and the smaller unit with detached cord is less hassle. Since I got the larger unit by mistake too, it makes random, rather loud sounding gurgles all thru the night that I didn't like when trying to sleep. The smaller one is quiet. My experience at least.
5Barely makes it through the nightIt's easy to fill and keep clean, needs no additional filter, and fits nicely on a night stand. But...fill it all the way up and don't turn it on until just as you go to bed or it won't make it through the night. When the water runs out it starts beeping and flashing - an early and unwanted awakening!
4so good. I love it's smaller size although I agree ...I have had this product several weeks and so far.... so good. I love it's smaller size although I agree with some that the price seems a bit high as it is not much cheaper than the larger ones, but mostly, if it works as it should I won't complain too loudly about that. I have used it most every night since I received it. I did read many of the reviews and tried to take the advice and learn from the issues they listed. The screw on cap has a great rubber gasket, so it is not necessary to over tighten it, just lightly firm. I also remember to empty the base each time I fill up the top so that there are not leaks. I do like that because it is smaller, it is much easier to handle than the big ones and I don't mind filling it up before bedtime each night. I use it on low (no night light needed) and I sleep about 7 hours. It lasts all night for me.
5Compact and easy to useFor some reason it seems much smaller than I thought it would be! It s perfect for fitting onto a nightstand though. Tested it when it arrived to make sure it worked but haven t needed to use it overnight yet. Easy to assemble and fill. Ran nicely, spit out steam in different levels when I pushed the button, and was quiet during its test run.Edited to note: I ve run it overnight on low. It runs for about 5.5 hours and automatically stops when the water level gets to low. Low speed is good for adding moisture to the air but if you want this to ease congestion, it s probably to small for overnight use. Pro, it fits easily under the bathroom sink faucet, so it s easy to fill up as needed.
4I have only had it about a week and I loved it at firstI bought this for my office which is extremely dry. I have only had it about a week and I loved it at first. This morning I got to work and turned it on and it won't work. It's a week or two old and it won't work! The light comes on and a few bubbles run to the surface and that's about it. I paid $25 for a piece of garbage and since I wasn't expecting a brand new humidifier to break in a week, I didn't hold on to the packaging or the box. I read a lot of good reviews for this one but it looks like I got a lemon. If you order this one, hang on to the packaging for a while.
1Failed in one hourWhen I opened the package, I noticed that the opening flap had been retaped, not the usual factory closure. Also noticed that the protective plastic was wadded, not like the factory. This makes me wonder if the device I received was not a factory return that had been reshipped as new. When I put the device into use, it put out the moisture for one hour, then stopped. Checked the instructions for troubleshooting, followed the instructions, and discovered that the little fan that pushes the moisture out of the tube was not working. Sending the item back for replacement.UPDATE: Received the replacement in good time. This one worked but we found that the device would only work about one hour before needed refill with water. The reservoir is too small to turn more than about three ounces of water into vapor before needing refill. Overfilling by even the slightest amount will cause it to not work. This simply could not meet the need and has been returned for credit.
2Lasted a week I was absolutely in love with this unit. The size was perfect, the night light was perfect and even though it didn t actually run 10 hours, I was smitten. The love affair only lasted a little over a week and then it died. Just stopped emitting mist. Needless to say I m thoroughly annoyed. Back to square 1 and a dry nose.
1Don't notice any difference...except the coldI wanted something to help with how dry my room gets- I was waking up with a bloody nose and a really dry throat! I didn't want to spend a fortune since I'm moving soon, and this seemed like the best one to get for the price. Honestly, I'm starting to think that with humidifiers it's worth just spending the extra cash for a decent one. I haven't noticed any difference at all with this one, and I have it on my bed side table and move it to my desk when I'm working. The only thing I notice is the cold air on my hand. So sure it works, but if you're looking for a noticeable difference in a dry room then don't expect this to do it.
2Gets the job done!I just got this not that long ago but I do have to say that I really like this humidifier. I use it in my bedroom at night and it sits on my nightstand right next to my bed. It works really good and really helps with adding humidity to my room when I sleep. I actually plan on ordering another one for my 4 year olds room as he is prone to a lot of congestion and what not. The top white piece can be moved so you can kind of direct where you want the "mist" to go. The mist that comes out is visible. Refill is easy as all you need to do is grab the blue piece off the base and unscrew the bottom and fill it up. Another pro that I like is even though it is right next to my bed and on my nightstand, I have had no issues with any damage to the wood. The final pro is the nightlight feature. It is bright enough to work as a nightlight but not that bright that I can't sleep. Now with the cons. It says that it lasts for 10 hours. So not true. I turn it on around 10:00 or so at night and by 6:00 or 6:30 in the morning I am woken up by it beeping at me for low water. I also don't like that you have to press it so many times to access the different settings. You press it one time it turns on low, 2 times is low with nightlight and 3 and 4 are the same thing but on high mode. When the water runs low and needs a change the power button will glow red and you get that beeping I mentioned. So really I wish the length of time was longer but I knew that before buying thanks to the reviews. Overall, I would still buy it again.
