Center too high to sleep on!I was looking forward to this cot for hotel stays and travel, considering the high reviews and being an Amazons Choice item. Most of it seems ideal- folds up small, lightweight, carrying bag, etc. However, I ordered the pink and the navy blue and the center of the cot was too high for my kids to lay comfortably. (You can actually tell in the photo of the blue one that the boy on the right has been photoshopped into the photo, the girl is actually sitting on it to give you an idea of how low the sides will go and how high the middle is between the sides). The canvas is also incredibly loud, we tried to layer a heavy fleece blanket on it to cut down the noise from moving, but ultimately it proved to be too uncomfortable for my kids to sleep on and we returned it. Instead, we cut apart a 4 inch memory topper that we were no longer using, sewed a cover out of an old sheet, and rolled that up to take to the hotel! 1Great travel option!I was looking for a toddler sized air mattress, but they are so outrageously priced! My 2 yr old outgrew her pack and play, and we travel a decent amount. We don't want her to get used to sleeping in a bed with us, so we were looking for options for her to sleep while we are away from home. I stumbled on this cot and read all the reviews. Some reviewers said the cot tips over if the kid sits on one end; I did not experience this. My kid is about 33 lbs and did not tip the cot over when she was sitting on one end of it. Another reviewer said the cot folded in on the kid and had no locking mechanism. While I agree that there is no locking mechanism, I had no problem with the cot folding in on itself at any point. The cot isn't far from the ground, so I wasn't really worried about her falling off. We did notice that she moved off of it to sleep on the floor the first few nights, but we remedied that once we took away a few stuffed animals and gave her more room on the cot. I did not feel like my child was unsafe at any time.My 2 yr old is about 37 inches tall, and she fits fine on this cot. We only ran into space issues because she likes to have too many stuffed animals on the bed! I expect to be able to use this cot until she's at least 4. Oh and side note, my child still sleeps in a crib at home, and she had no issues adjusting to sleeping on this cot or going back to sleeping in a crib after we returned home.It folds up to the size of a child's camping chair and has a carrying case. It is very light, and we plan on taking this with us on a 3 week trip. We';; either take it as one of our carry-ons or stick it in a checked bag. Oh and there is no "set up" involved. You just pull it out of the bag and open it up like you would a camping chair. This is a great product.I would give this cot 5 stars if the sheet that had come with it actually fit on the cot. It was too small and caused the cot to fold up a lot when I put the sheet on. I just use a crib sheet instead (which I have plenty). The crib sheet is too big but not to where it is a problem or comes off the cot. I attached pictures for reference. 4Sturdy, convenient, well made, and easy to use!!!This portable bed is amazing for what we wanted it for. Our son is almost 4, so he is too old for a pack n play and we have 3 kids, so sometimes lack of places to sleep on trips. We took my kids up to see grandma and we did a 12 hour drive split and ended up staying in a hotel. The bed was very easy to vary in it's carrying case and extremely easy to set up. It even comes with a fitted sheet that goes over the top. Now, I don't know about you but I have had many items that hf ferrying cases but were IMPOSSIBLE to get back in the bag for travel. You do not have this problem with this product. We also use it for nap time for my 4 year old as well as extra seating during movies or games. We just open it up and put right in front of the couch, so they can sit two wide and lean on the couch. Product seems well made and we would buy again in a heartbeat.Only thing I recommend is that we bought a crib sized 2 inch foam temperpedic mattress pad to lay on top for more added comfort. I feel that as cool as this bed is it lacks comfort, but I would chalk it up to the same as a pack n play or even the comfort of a crib mattress. You definitely don't have to add the foam but we chose to and them just lay a fitted sheet over the top and call it a day. You can get one for about $40... we chose to do so because we use this product often.Hope this helps!!I've also stood on it and sat on it countless times and I'm 150#s and it holds up sturdiness just fine. 5Well made and seems to sleep well.Thinking about getting a second one. My grandson loves it. He is 4yrs old and weighs 40 pounds. He even lays around on it when he is watching shows on his ipad. He says it's comfortable and he has some room to grow. I bought him a sleeping bag too, but he just laid on top of that too and wanted a blanket. It must be rather comfy, I'm also having a hard time keeping my lab off of it. which is why I intend to buy a second one Thankfully it came with an easily removable and easily washable sheet. Seems to be made to last. So far I have no complaints. 5Perfect size for 18 month old. And really light & compact.Needed a toddler bed without it being a toddler bed in our room. If that makes sense? Our 18 month old is horrible with sleep...she wakes up about 2-3 times a night! And going to her room to put her to sleep was exhausting. And keeping her in our bed was uncomfortable since she's not a cuddly kid. She likes to "stretch" at night a lot. Basically means she likes to kick & punch our faces. We didn't want to bring her giant crib in here, so we looked into this portable toddler cot. It's perfect! We did try the whole crib mattress on the floor thing since our bed is close to the floor, but we liked this cot over that because it's easy to get out the way.The cot came with a sheet, if that's what you want to call it. But it's a little rough. We put a playard sheet over it, and it holds up pretty well. (The picture has the sheet it came with, we added the playard fitted sheet after. We will also be using it for traveling! 5DEFECTIVE PRODUCT- REGALO WOULD NOT REFUND OR REPLACE-Really Really disappointed by Regalo... We were big supporters of their products but their customer service is horrendous. This cot broke after 1 week of use in a 1 year period. The bold holding the cot together collapsed underneath my 3 year old child. My son is a small 33 pound child, who slept on the cot no more than 5 days in a one year period. The product was defective, and regalo would not replace or refund the product. Really poor customer service here... won't be purchasing from them again! 1Great for travel/sleepovers!I bought this in preparation for a move from Germany back to the US. I wanted to get it ahead of time to let our daughter get used to it, since all of our furniture would be packed up and on a boat for a loooong time.I had her take naps in it at home instead of her crib (13-14 months old) and for date nights, I would bring it to the babysitter's house. It fit easily in our big luggage for the flight back to the US and it wasn't heavy at all. It fit perfectly under the "desk" built into our hotel room and you can see Chloe didn't have an issue sleeping on it. She was able to crawl up on down from it with no problem. She does tend to...migrate...when she sleeps, so we would put blankets or pillows down if the floor wasn't carpeted.I would and have recommended this to friends and family.Pic 1 - 15 months old (babysitter's house)Pic 2 - 17 months old (hotel in Germany)Pic 3 - 18 months old (hotel in US)Pic 4 - 21 months old (in our new home!) 5Fine for light use, but do consider other options! This is a nice and reasonably compact light-use cot. However, this unit is not particularly light, compact, or rugged. As it sits in a middle ground of all of these factors, you may become dissatisfied with performance versus expectations. If this is something you keep around the house for occasional sleepovers you probably won't be disappointed. However, if portability isn't a factor you'd likely be best served by maximizing a playpen as a sleeper and then transitioning to a full-size/adult cot or stowaway bed (with the beds usually being the most rugged choice). If you need true portability, especially for travel, consider ultra-light, compact camping cots (which could disappear into a typical carry-on bag). For the price you're getting a reasonable kids cot that unfortunately doesn't really excel at any particular quality. In the right scenario (leaving at grandma's house for the monthly visit) it should be adequate. Otherwise, you could be frustrated by some of the limitations mentioned here or in other reviews. 3It was very comfortable and just greatI bought a blue Regalo cot at Walmart 2 years ago. It was very comfortable and just great!!! It finally wore out and broke after my daughter used it every weekend for 2 years. Not a big deal, I decided to order a new one from amazon but this time in pink. It'seems awful. The middle part is highly then the rest of the cot. Not only is it very uncomfortable but I would think it would mess up my daughter'so back eventually, and I am definitely not going to let it happen. Returning it right away and seeing if I can find a blue at Walmart again. If not, they I will be looking for another brand. 1Perfect for my little oneThis cot is perfect for my 2 year old and she could probably use it up to the age of 8 or so, but it does take some work to make it comfy. Like most cots it's terribly uncomfortable so I bought a foam pad from Walmart for $9 and then covered it with an extra sheet and it seems to do the trick! My little one was so excited when she saw it. We bought the pink one and I love that it comes in a cute pink carrying bag! So easy to set up, they even sent us a little pink sheet cover which was awesome, I put the foam pad on than the pink cover and then a simple crib sheet. So far we are happy! It's a better choice than a kids air mattress because those things can be so overpriced! I've heard some people say that the cot will close up because you do have to pull it out, I wish there was some kind of latch that I could hook on the bars to make it more stable like, but I've never had it just close on my child or anything, but my little one knows to not stand or jump on this, it's strictly for sleeping and sitting in the middle where it's most Secure. Over all we are very happy! 4
