Stop using ice!I stopped using ice and Love the taste of undiluted burbon/wiskey and scotch with these stones. The stones are just the right size, use two or more per drink to chill the drink, it also makes it look very nice.
5More of a novelty than a commodityI could be wrong since these are the first type of whiskey rocks that I ve ever owned or used, but they are not really all that jaw dropping. I washed them and froze them for about a day and a half, then I put three (3) rocks in my glass and filled my glass to about 3/8 full, I let the whiskey chill before I took a drink and I did not notice any dofference in temperature. Frankly, I was disappointed that three (3) rocks didn t do the trick.
2That's it?You would think this would work. But, it doesn't. Left them in the freezer twenty-four hours, then put all nine in a glass of water. It barely had any effect. I could tell it was slightly lower than room temperature. That's it? What a waste of money. Not worth sending them back.
1Did Not ChillI bought these for my husband as a stocking stuffer last Christmas. We were excited to use them in our whiskey instead of ice because it can melt and water it down. After washing them I put them in the freezer and they stayed there for almost a month. One evening we decided to try them out and each put 3 in our glass. We were super disappointed! We waited almost 30 minutes and it never chilled our whiskey. In fact, they weren't very cold coming directly out of the freezer. We have tried them twice now and each time the same result. This time I got what I paid for.
1Cool but doesnt cool your drink. So here is the thing. They do not make your drink cold like ice will. Not even close, even when stored in freezer. They get cold on the outside but clearly can't transfer the cold. But I think that is intentional?? I heard (after I bought them unfortunately ) that true whiskey drinkers don't drink it cold. Just barely cool. Idk. Kinda was a waste of money for us.
4Great quality, look & smooth, but doesn't cool down whiskey.I bought these so my whiskey wouldn't get watered down with regular ice cubes. I received these super fast, put them in the fancy bag & let them freeze for 2 1/2 days. I pulled them out (about 6-7) at first, poured a small shot of whiskey (the whiskey barely covered the first row of cubes) and waited about 10 minutes. I drank it & the whiskey was just below room temperature. I refroze & waited a few days and tried it again with ALL the cubes & barely any whiskey and waited more like 15-20 minutes & it was the exact same. I'm not sure if there's different brands/quality or what, but I'll just go back to using 4-5 ice cubes, swirling the whiskey and drinking it after 45 seconds. If i'm doing something wrong or you have a different outcome, please let me know because I really wanted these babies to work.
1I wanted to like this product by the outstanding good reviews so I ...I returned this product because it had stone particles in my drink when I used it . I wanted to like this product by the outstanding good reviews so I ordered it . I m not sure why the stone would leave particles when used or if I got a bad batch .
1Stones not coldi don't like to give poor reviews but these stones just don't work. The beverage just does not get cold.Cannot say much more . This was a colossal waste of money. If you have any tips, let me know. I am surprised to see such good reviews .
1Lots of reviews on here make it sound like these workLots of reviews on here make it sound like these work. However most of them are not written by the person actually drinking the whiskey. I tried multiple stones in a single serving of whiskey, and they do not bring the temperature down hardly at all. This seems to be a gimmick. Not too expensive, but I wouldn't spend the money.
2These will not keep your whiskey coldThese will not keep your whiskey cold. I used six of these in a small glass of whiskey (not even enough whiskey to cover all the stones), and the temperature difference was barely noticeable.
