Too stiff and not wide enoughI bought these having high hopes based on all the positive reviews. Unfortunately I still find myself going back to my softer, more flexible spatulas. While these are OK for some tasks, I find them too stiff for mixing most cake batters which need more delicate handling. They also don't cover enough surface area for properly scraping a bowl clean. Wider and more flexible (but not AS soft/floppy as the traditional spatulas) would've been ideal. Overall, 2 1/2 stars
2Like and don't like.I like the small spatula better than the large one, because it is more flexible and easy to get into corners or scraping a bowl clean. I liked the old rubber maid spatulas as they were more flexible than the current spatulas offered on the market, but these are more advantageous for sanitary reasons. Being as Amazon didn't give a category for effectiveness I gave a lesser score for sturdiness when both spatulas are quite sturdy. I love the turquoise color, but there are other colors available to meet your preference.
4Perfect!Love these! They are my 1st set of Silicone Spatulas and I will never go back. They are very versatile. I used them for making ice cream, the small one is perfect for the dasher and they are firm enough that they don't bend while scraping. I've gone from ice cream to boiling water with no issues. I love that it is one solid piece so I never have to worry about the handle coming off. I only wish I would've purchased the 4 pack!
5Kitchen tool FREAK!I am 70 years old so I have a LOT of cooking and kitchen tool experience! I have searched for really good, cleanable and useful spatulas. This is the first purchase in years that is exactly what I was looking for at a price that is fair! Being one piece it has no hidden, food trapping crevices or nooks. Being seamless again keeps it cleaner. The handle is good and strong so there are no slips that can cause a burn or loose contact when scraping. What's the point of scraping if it leaves gaps!!?? The sizes cover all needs as the longer one is long enough to use in a deep pot without getting burned! When you make me happy with a new kitchen tool you have REALLY done something! Would not only recommend but would gladly give them as a loving gift!
5Good shape equals good functionI looked to replace a silicone spatula I loved but the head of it had gotten loose as the head and body were 2 different parts. I purchased the Starpack spatulas because I wanted their big one to replace mine. Two main reasons for my choice: the Starpack spatulas are 1 piece (so no head piece to ever get loose like on my old one) and the shape is what I was looking for (I wanted a straight angle on one side to get my homemade hummus out of my food processor bowl; I also wanted the other side with a slight curve but nothing crazy curvy like some other spatulas out there). A perk is that the silicone of their premium spatulas is heat resistant to 600 degrees Fahrenheit. I wasn't sure I'd use the smaller spatula that came in the set but making my yule log cake yesterday, I found myself reaching for it to scrape melted chocolate and cream out of smaller bowls. So there you have it, you don't always realize what you may be missing!
5Great Spatulas! My mom had those thin plastic flexible spatulas and they were a mess. Bent, discolored, etc. I purchased these because I knew she wouldn't replace her old ones. Lo and behold, she loved these and had no issue with pitching her old ones! These are sturdy and work great. The color is nice and they are easy to find in a drawer or countertop utensil holder. I showed my mom how one side of the spatula is curved, for scraping the bottoms of bowls, and she immediately tried them and was amazed at how well they worked. I would buy these again!
5Kitchen Must-Have!I bought these several months ago to replace my old spatulas/plate scrapers. I like that they are one solid piece, which make cleaning a snap and very hygienic. My old spatulas were 2 piece (could remove the scraper from the handle), which made them very hard to clean if food got down between the rubber scraper handle area. So, the old ones got tossed out. Very happy with this new set. :-)
5kid tested mother approvedI have a 1 year old who loves to pretend cook so pots pans dishes are on the kitchen floor along with the utensils. While she was teething she ripped through my old spatulas. Tore them apart to the point of no return. I wanted to keep these out of her hands but her partner in crime helped to get them for her when I wasn't looking. She now has 8 teeth and was gnawing on this when I walked in. No bite marks, no indentations, no tears. These are holding up to the child test. Will update in a few months to see how they are then!
5Add a pop of color and fun to your baking! The set of two spatulas has been a great addition to our kitchen. Before ordering this set I had the dollar store spatulas. They would often fall apart (the spatula head would fall off of the handle). And I would get water between the head and the handle which drove me crazy! I don't have that problem with this set since they are all one piece. These spatulas are not too rigid and not too flexible, they have the perfect amount of give. They are also great for scraping off the remaining cookie dough to snack on...I mean bake. ;) I also like the two different sizes, both of them have come in handy for different jobs. The blue color is gorgeous and vibrant!I have been using these spatulas for about 5 months and I am very very pleased with them!
5These spatulas are FANTASTICMy search for a spatula started when I realized two things: 1. I was tired of my spatulas head falling off when I was washing it (wood handle with silicone head - gift) and 2. I finally accepted the fact that the silicone had seen better days. Because I'm a Prime junkie, like many of you reading this, I started here first (to be honest, I despise going to stores anymore because people are so damn rude). Anyways, I digress. I'm EXTREMELY picky when it comes to spatulas, flatware, skillets, basically anything for the kitchen that IIIIII am buying and use on the regular (free is free). Here are my main complaints about most spatulas: 1. They're not seamless 2. They're made for Sam's Club jars of stuff (such bulky heads!), 3. The head is contoured weird, 4. The handles make me feel like I'm holding a mini baseball bat by the end you hit the ball with (and I have large hands for a woman, I think. Unless I just live in an area where men's hands are small. Also, is there a technical term for that end of the bat? I sure hope my boyfriend doesn't see this...), and last but not least (literally my biggest pet peeve) 5. They either weigh too much or too little. With all that in mind, THESE spatulas exceed my expectations. I find myself wondering how on Earth I am writing a review this long but then I realize it's all the things I hate about other products. Seriously. Take a chance on these spatulas. I did because they were reasonably priced and appeared to be what I was looking for (didnt care about color - I would have bought poop brown) AND THEY ARE. They fit my hand more than comfortably, they're the PERFECT weight, they're seamless, and contouring and the size of the head is really nice. TRY THESE SPATULAS.
