Customer Reviews

perfect color, budget friendly, wide panels, attractiveThis review is for the Vintage Blue curtain panels.I selected these based on the color I was looking for, as well as price, non grommet, and decent width. In short: These met all of my expectations! I love them, super lovely, even better than anticipated!Details:Color: I have a family room that I pretty much kept in warm colors (gold, orange, browns). I acquired a blue and brown rug that I intended for elsewhere when I decided to try it out in my family room. I liked it so much that I thought that if I could find a way to swap to these new colors with out spending a lot, I would go for it. SO I proceeded to look for plain blue curtains. The blue in the rug reminds me of a cornflower blue. When I found this Vintage Blue, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for.Price: I normally don't comment on price, but here it was part of my selection. If I didn't find cheap enough curtains, I was not likely to make a change to my family room. This was not a need, just an impulsive want to switch things up. Curtain prices vary significantly, and I have noticed though my life that that is not necessarily indicative of quality or performance. Especially if just being used for decorative purpose. At time of my purchase, they were $7.49 a panel.Non grommet: I don't care for the look of grommets, a lot of panel choices are those grommets. These just slide on and have solid material across the top. With this style, the option is almost always there to have the little scrunching at top, or let the panel drape down flat by sliding rod through next section down.Width: The width of these panels are 54". This is pretty generous. I have seen panels (especially in discount stores) where the panels are as little as 20". Many are in the 36-42" range. This additional width will allow for the curtains to maintain a bit of ripple rather when closed than being flat when pulled closed. This also lends to greater privacy. Also accommodates wider area with less panels.I didn't buy these for blocking light, but I do like having them closed at night for a little privacy (despite living in country). They are fine. They are a standard curtain to me. They do not say they are light blocking. They do say that they "blocks out SOME light", and that "Performance varies by color". My medium blue does a nice job giving me privacy and dimming the room when the sun is beating in.I suggest that if more darkening, blocking, or privacy is needed (and you don't want stiff light blocking panels), add in another panel or two.I included a bunch of pics! Color is closest to the photos taken further away.edit/update: Just swinging by to say that I bought two more panels a couple months later, and the dye lot is the same. I was worried they wouldn't be, but all looks the same. PHEW! 5and they do an amazing job of darkening a roomMy family absolutely loves the Sun Zero Barrow Energy Efficient Rod Pocket Curtain Panels! After our first set came in, we ordered 6 more windows' worth of curtains! These are NOT blackout curtains. They are room darkening curtains, and they do an amazing job of darkening a room. These feel like they are of good quality, but they are significantly less expensive than nearly anything else that we could find. These curtains are amazing, and I can not imagine beating this product for the price. We own the Steel Grey, Brick Red, Lime Green, and Marine Blue versions, and they are all fantastic. 5True to color and true to descriptionI ordered a total of 14 of these curtain panels. I recieved the 96 length ones. They are true to color as the description said. I order 2 blush pink, 2 taupe, 8 stone beige and 2 slate grey all true to color. They are not 100 % room darkening which it does say in description but they are pretty dark during the day. Enough to keep a room cool in this arizona heat. The reason for only 4 starts is because some of the stitching was off and one ripped when got caught on bottom of the chair as I was putting them up. I will replace that one eventually but good for now. Also wish they had smaller size for my kitchen to match all since I basically have one big with 5 windows. Overall amazing for price and match all. 4Look nice, easy to put up, wrinkles come out quickly after a few mins in the dryer.I bought 2 different pairs of these curtains for my picture window, 1 pr of pink & 1 pr of purple, both 60" x 63". My window is painted teal & I didn't want just 1 solid color curtain, so I put a purple panel on each side with the pink pair in the center. I love the way those colors look so nice together. The wrinkles came out quickly after just a few minutes in the dryer. They slid easily on my thin round curtain rod & look very nice. The material is very soft & silky, and they are thick enough that some light comes in, but not too much.I wish I could have found them a little shorter - seems like 63" or 108" are "the standard" sizes now. My picture window is only 53" tall & I like to hang my curtains inside that window so that I can place pictures & decorations on the wide window ledge. They appear to be good quality & seem well sewn (I didn't notice any loose threads hanging around). I'm very pleased with them (aside from my wish that I could have ordered shorter ones, but it is what it is in that dept).I just received them so I can't rate them on energy efficiency or noise cancellation yet. They are exactly what I was hoping for blackout wise.I would order again for another window & recommend to others. 5Cheap yes, light blocking and energy efficient no.These curtains are incredibly thin. We bought them to pair with the other blackout curtains we had and there is a significant difference in quality. It doesn't keep out any light and definitely doesn't keep in any sort of heat. The picture below has the plum Sun Zero curtains on the right and our white blackout curtains from JC Penny. Even with the blinds closed facing upward so there is less sun coming through, (second photo) you can see the light through them. They might as well be sheers. 1These are very nice curtains for the moneyThese are very nice curtains for the money. The color is true and they're easy to install. Remember: this package is only ONE panel so you need to order TWO if you want split curtains. Also note that these are NOT BLACK OUT curtains -- they are ROOM DARKENING. Agree with the other posters' photos. I put privacy film on my windows and used these curtains and it makes my bedroom feel warm and private. 5Bad. Thin. Does not block ANY light. EASILY THE WORST $10 I'VE SPENT ON AMAZON.I was using a black bedsheet as a curtain, because I just didn't feel like spending $20 on curtains. Then I saw this.It says it will "considerably darken the room". It blocks less light than a black bedsheet. The material is actually thinner than my bedsheet.... Very disappointing.... Just buy curtains at Walmart or something. Real energy efficient curtains cost $10 more, but atleast for that $10 dollars, you'll get curtains that function as.... Curtains. In summation, don't buy these if you're planning to use them to block a sunny window. You might as well just put a piece of glass over the window and call it a day, because you'll be blocking about the same amount of light that these curtains do :/ 1PerfectLet me start by saying NOBODY READS ANYTHING or looks at anything because this product even has a video showing that ITS LEVEL 2 Light blocking which is not the heaviest light blocking and it even tells u that so when people complain of this doesnt block all the light it never said it would!!!! So with that i love this product its perfect light weight beautiful color... i got plum purple and its great its a brownish purple and in sun shimmers a little goldish purple... i just love them worth a shot since they cheap. If u want more light blockage buy extra panels and scrunch them up all together the thinner u stretch it the more light comes in 5Curtains provide just enough darkness!I bought the purple curtains for my 6 year old daughters room as she needs to go to bed around 8:30pm sometimes, but due to the summer months, it stays light out until 9:30pm. They provide just enough darkness to put her to sleep with. She is SO happy with them, and she loves the color. Matches her bedding perfectly! 5Sun Zero compared to LorraineI have these curtains in my daughter's room and the Lorraine home fashion room darkening curtains in turquoise in my son's room. These are half the price, and have a gathered top rather than a grommet top. The stitching quality on the Lotraine curtains are much better, but the biggest difference is that these do not block out light as well as the Lorraine. I have attached a photo that shows both curtains, both taken the same time of day and both are north facing windows and despite the fact that the turquoise is a lighter color, it blocks out the light much better. These curtains still darken the room, but if my daughter's room had direct sunlight coming into her widows, these would not be sufficient. My son's room also has an east facing window and I am glad I have the other curtains for his room. They really darkens the direct sunlight for his morning nap. The main reason I chose this curtain was because I didn't want the grommet style in her room. If you really need a curtain to block out the sun, I would suggest buying the Lorraine, if you just want something cheap that will block out most light, these will be fine. 3
