Great cooler bag when you're on the go!I've had one of these navy 12"x10"x8 1/2" cooler bags for over 2 years now and I really do beat it up. I stuff it into the storage hatch of my kayak, take it on camping trips, toss it in the trunk of my car, and cram it into my backpack to bring it along to the office. I've stuffed it full of both beer and food. And I've used both ice packs and loose ice for it. The strap, liner, zipper, and outer materials have all proven very durable and forgiving. Front pockets all serve their purpose and keep things handy when I'm camping or kayaking. Overall I've been very happy with it and have no reason to doubt it'll still be going strong a few years from now! Included several images for a visual. 5Business type lunch box. Very nice, business friendly. My thoughts are if you like your lunch food cold, you need one of these. The insulation is good, not great, but it's not the insulation that I'm refering to that make these great food coolers, it's the size. If you get a lunch box at the size just big enough for your food in containers, your food won't stay as cool. For years, I've been making my lunches as well as my wife 5- days a week and used these size containers. You need the extra room for the freezer packs, (the hard shelled type work best for us). We use 'one' square type approximatley 8"x8" and it lasts from 7 a.m until back at home 6-7 p.m. each day keeping any left overs safely cool to use again. The Transworld Durable Deluxe Insulated Lunch box is especially good for business woman or men. It looks great, and isn't an eyesore like most others, you know the neon green, pink, purple 'HEY I'VE ARRIVED' type. It holds it's shapre real well over time. You will really like this box, we do. We've been using ours over a year now. 4Very nice quality and worth the priceI was very happy with this lunch bag. After reading some of the reviews I was worried but decided to give it a try.The quality of the external material seems very sturdy and it also looks nice. The interior surfaces were clean, no tears and the stitching was perfect. The zippers were in good shape and roll smooth. There is plenty of insulation and a single ice pack can keep my food cold from 6am to noon with no issues. There is plenty of room in the main compartment for a 3 cup soup bowl, fruit drink and snacks. There is a slight "new" smell when you get it but it's not too bad and I don't mind as it lets me know it was fresh off the factory floor. There is a smaller pocket in front that easily fits utensils and napkins. It'll easily hold a few decks of playing cards but not much more than that. It's only been a couple weeks but at first glance, it feels like a great product. For less than $15 you can't go wrong. 5Had to downgrade - not the same size as before.Got one of these about 3 years ago. It has been through the wringer and has held up. VERY durable. I bought two more! One for my kid's school lunch and another one for me to replace the (slightly) worn one. Excellent, excellent product -- 10 stars!EDITED -- New lunch boxes arrived. They are much smaller than the older ones that I purchased in 2012. I looked up my old order on Amazon and re-ordered the same size. They are NOT the same size. . Read: There is at least 15% less room on the interior. Side by side from my old order and my new order, there is an obvious size difference! Looks to me this is yet another company trying to cut corners and size down .The red box in my photos is the old box. Grey and blue are the new ones. You can see there is a difference in size. Price goes up, quality and size goes down.Transworld....I am disappoint. Deducted two stars. 3Doesn't Keep the Food ColdI really wish we had received one of the bags that got a good review here. The size is wonderful--lots of room in the main compartment alone, but with the zippered pocket, the mesh compartment and the oblong pocket, there is enough room to use Tupperware-like containers for lunch for two with room left over. The problem is that the bottom of the lunch bag ends up wet from the too- rapidly thawing ice block. My husband uses this bag for his lunch and wasn't especially impressed by how long everything stayed cold, but he figured he might have left it open for too long or that his days were too long. However, we used it this weekend for a music festival and I couldn't believe how quickly the ice block thawed and how wet the outside bottom of the bag got.By the end of an eight hour day, the ice block was completely thawed and the outside bottom of the bag was wet. His previous brand-X bag kept things colder for longer than that, and never got wet from the thawing ice block, even after a 12 hour day.I love the size but hate the function of this bag. And, in the end, if the food isn't cold, the size only means more food will go bad that much faster. 1Bought two in 14 months, both have already torn upI have purchased this box twice in less than a year and a half. Both times the lunch box decided to rip in the front pocket and once on the seam at the bottom.Yes it keeps your food coldYes it's decent sizedAnd yes it's a good deal as far as price is concerned. But all of that does not matter if it tears up in only a few months time. I will not be purchasing again. Of course I am a pipefitter and do construction for a living so I may be harder on a lunchbox than you. Your mileage may very. 2Almost 6 years later - still great!was sitting here looking at my lunch bag and realizing how long this thing has lasted. Going on 5.5 years at this point and it's still going great. Some tearing at the insulation at the top where the zipper catches from time to time. Another minor quibble - you need to remove the base frequently and make sure it is clean/dry or else it will mold.In short, get it. Most durable lunch bag I have had, when this eventually wears out I will get this exact thing as a replacement. 5It's HUGE!I bought this so that I didn't have to juggle a bunch of Tupperware containers while heading out the door to go to work. A lunch box like this also allows me to sling it over my shoulder and ride my bike to work when the weather warms up.I did look for a larger lunch box and I found it! I can fit more food in this thing than I could possibly eat... and I can eat quite a lot. This thing also seems sturdy and well-insulated; it could double as a cooler for a short time with some ice packs inside, I'd bet (I'll find out for sure this summer!).I can't comment on long-term use since I just got it but so far I'm impressed. 5Pretty decent bag/coolerI just wanted to finally write a review about this product.I have had this from may of 2105 until today when my cats decided it looked like a litter box.PROS:1. Decent bag for the price ($15)2. I used it almost everyday for that time. I am not a gentle person on these things.3. This item withstood a lot of abuse from me.CONS:1. I have noticed recently that the bag did start to have some tears around the zipper where it would like to catch the edge of the liner.2. It has an awkward handle you can use. 9does not look designed to also be able to grab by hand and not use shoulder strap.3. The Shoulder strap could use some padding as this strap is nothing more that just a 1 inch piece of nylon webbing.Overall:This is not a bad bag for the price point.I had the big size one (13 1/2"x10"x10", Navy)This can handle about anything you wanted to put in it! 5Works Great - I Like It!I've used this every day for a week now and have no complaints about it's functionality. Yes, it's made in China, but what isn't anymore? There was one comment from someone saying they'd detected lead in this bag, but if you believe it and are worried about it, you should probably not buy this. I personally don't really care. There are so many dangerous things we're exposed to everyday anyway--and you can't live in a bubble!Pros:Large capacity--room for all those containers of stuff I take every day to work to make lunchStays COLD a long time. I pack my lunch at 7 am and it's still cold when I get home at 5 (and could probably go a lot more hours).Zippers work smooth after the first few usesUse the 'divider' piece on the bottom for extra insulation (a few people complained there was no insulation on the bottom)Cons:Plastic smell lingers so far even after being left outside on the balcony twice overnight and washing with warm soapy water."Cell phone" pocket on front is ridiculous, though I suppose one could find other use for it.I wish the pocket was on the top rather than the side--it makes the profile a bit larger.generally speaking I think the bag is well-made and should hold up to a lot of use. If you are hard on stuff like this I could certainly see zippers breaking and strap ripping off--but that would take some serious abuse! 5
