For some reason this box of pens are horrible. I have thrown most of them out with full ink cartridges because the writing is sketchy, meaning most of the time the ink doesn't come out and I can't read what I wrote. So disappointed in them.uni-ball 207 Retractable Gel Pens, Medium Point (0.7mm), Black, Pink Ribbon Edition, 12 Count 1Excellent for Medical WorkersI've been using uni-ball 207's for years. As a practicing Emergency RN my handwriting must be smudge-proof and legible every time, all the time, no exceptions. My personal preference is the Medium point. Like me it's not too big, but bold to be clearly read. Lately I've been switching up with the Ultra Micro. At work I write on regular paper, copy paper, semi-glossy lab labels, chart labels, paper towels, sheets, and hands/arms. You name it we write on it. That being said, I read some reviews where people were complaining of the ink skipping when writing. This is NOT the pen's fault. Inferior or cheap imported paper causes these issues. If you're in the medical field these are THE pens to get. They will not smudge which is important for sensitive items.Sample pic shows the medium point and ultra micro. Excellent and cost effective pens. 5My personal choice for every day use at work and homeI like these uni-ball Signo retractable pens and have purchased them in several different variations in order to determine clearly which one I prefer. Some of the purchases I've made are:- uni-ball Signo 207 Retractable Gel Pens, Micro Point (0.5mm) (2-pack, black ink)- uni-ball Signo 207 Retractable Gel Pens, Medium Point (0.7mm) (2-pack, black ink)- uni-ball 207 BLX Retractable Gel Pens, Medium Point (0.7mm) (5-pack with assorted colors, BLX black ink mixed)- uni-ball 207 Retractable Gel Pens, Medium Point (0.7mm), Black, 12 Count (product on this page)All are comfortable to write with, smooth and free of skips and any other blotching. For my personal preference the 0.5mm point, what uni-ball calls micro point and others might call fine point, is pretty sharp and a bit too fine for my heavy handed writing. The medium point, 0.7mm, is still a very fine line in my opinion, and writes very well. I wanted to also try the BLX ink pens to see if I could tell any difference, so I've tried the package of 5 pens that are black ink mixed with other colors. Those are nice, with a subtle difference in color that is nice if you want something different from basic black but don't want a more prominent blue or other color. For my every day use I have decided to stick with the medium 0.7mm point, either the regular 207 black ink or one of the BLX mixes.I should add that uni-ball makes the point that the ink used in these pens is particularly good for protection against fading and fraud, and that is also an important consideration. The documents that I sign at work are frequently considered 'record' documents and in fact we have requirements on using ink that is not going to deteriorate over time, so these pens are perfect for satisfying that requirement. At just over a buck per pen, these are not the cheapest disposable pens but they are in my opinion the most comfortable to use. This 12-pack at under a buck each is the best value. The price here on Amazon is also very competitive, with the added advantage of many variations available. There are so many different choices available that I find it difficult to locate the specific type that I prefer when I'm shopping locally, and once I was able to locate the right model here on Amazon, this is what I'll be sticking with. 5Comparison with Papermate Inkjoy Gel; these win except in colorLove these for their smoooooothhhh writing and rubbery grip. The colors aren't as bold as I would like (I like really bold colors) but, I do love how they write more than any other pens I have tried (and I have tried a TON....I'm a bit of a penaholic!) You can see in the photos the differences in color for what I mean when I say I prefer bold, but these are superior in all the other ways....listed in the photo. Compared to the Papermate Inkjoy gel, which are comparable in price but more bold in color. 5Half the box is trash so far. Get Pilot G2's.By far the most expensive and worst pens I've ever used. I purchased because I like gel pens and wanted to try these uni-ball .07's. I write small and bought these for our office. I've used about half the box and they all "skip" when I write. They work fine one minute then stop working the next. Way too expensive for pens that are basically trash out of the box. I thought I might have had one bad one upon first try but at least half of them are garbage. Don't waste your money, get Pilot G2's, I've never had a bad one in years. 1This *will* become your go-to pen for everything forevermoreThe uni-ball 207 feels like a much more expensive pen than it is. It s lightweight, durable, got a fantastic grip, and flows without pause. You won t find yourself scratching circles in scrap-paper trying to get the ink restarted... these things are ready to go when you are, until the last drop is gone. I use the micro-point, and while it is a very fine point, the flow is so loose and free I d say it flows a tiny bit thicker than the average 0.5 tip, but not so loose that it s sloppy. I haven t experienced one leak with these.Dependable pens are rare. I m always trying out different varietie but this became my favorite when I first tried it three years ago. Yesterday I thought I misplaced my final go-to 207... I didn t have anymore at the ready and I freaked out. For a very long 15 minutes (excruciatingly long 15 minutes) I was searching for this pen like I would imagine crack addicts search for crack when there isn t any. Thankfully, it had accidentally been scooped up by someone (thx mom) and, 15 minutes later, it was returned to me, but I now realize how OCD I am over these pens and will never, ever let my personal supply fall short again.I couldn t possibly recommend them higher. 5Nice!I just received these pens today, and immediately inspected and tested them. They were packed nicley, no leaking ink or broken pens. They came quickly, but I'm a prime member. They write pretty smoothly, but they do leave open spaces in written letter (I will post a pic so you can see what I mean). The colors are nice and bright, not too light where you can't read your notes, except for the pink pen. That one is really light, and really hard to see. They write really think lines so writing in tight spots shouldn't be an issue. I tested the blue pen with my left hand to see if they would smudge, and I was actually shocked. There was slight smudging, but not to the point of it being a huge mess on your hand or paper.i also put water on the paper after writing with these pens and the ink held up really well. The words are still legible. My only complaint is the rubber around the pen for the grip, it's not comfortable for me compared to use of other pens. Overall, these are good pens! 4Ink Stops Flowing!Every single one of these pens has been awful! The ink is not consistent and you have to keep going back over what you've already written! I got them because they are Gel Pens and assumed they work the best, but I have been EXTREMELY disappointed. You can imagine how rough it is sitting in class and the professor is going non-stop and you can't write fast enough because you have to keep doing those little pen circles we all do to get the ink flowing again! 1Very smooth, bold, and pigmented!I love how these pens write. They are very smooth and dark. The only down side is that they run out of ink quickly when used everyday in the office. Overall, it's a very nice bold pen. 5The Sensa is still my all-time favorite, but these UniBall 207s are fantastic alternativesI used to only use Sensa (aka Fisher Space Pens) because the ink was archival and flowed smoothly, which most ballpoints don't do. Also they would write upside down and on wet paper. The Sensa is still my all-time favorite, but these UniBall 207s are fantastic alternatives. I carry these with me when I want to use some fun color, or when I'm in a situation where someone might ask to borrow a pen (DMV, school). These pens write so well that I like using them myself, and they're so cheap that I don't mind if someone wants to borrow one. They have a professional appearance, unlike many pens which are just too childish to pull out in a business meeting. Also a worth successor to the UniBall Micro roller ball, which I used to use. Those would bleed through all but the heaviest paper; not so with these 207s. Bravo, UniBall! 5
